The 111th Soul

This is yet another short game made with Unity. The story is so shallow that it's practically non-existant. Your brother & you inherit your grandparents' house after they die. Your brother has been fixing the place up for the last two weeks, in order to sell it, when you finally arrive tonight. When you walk in though, as you would guess, you find yourself alone, as your brother is missing. You click on things around the small house, collect a few items, do a few tasks, find your brother, and get down to the basement. It should only take you 10 to 20 minutes to complete. However, there are three endings, so if you want to see those it will take you another 10 minutes for each one, because unfortunately, the text, the conversations, and the cutscenes are all unskippable. Since the game is so short, there is no manual saving. The game is free, as it should be, because what you get feels more like a demo than a complete game. This is now a free horror game from the portuguese Ricardo Pratas. It is a very limited game due to the fact that he was doing this almost alone, and it was his first. Nevertheless, I have to say the game was interesting and that a new version of the game, with more puzzles, more choices, more endings, is something everyone is expecting. The story carried this game. That's the only reason it got the rating it did. The game is super dark, and even turning the brightness up I couldn't see the objects to pick up. If the darkness adds to the atmosphere then have the items like up or some kind of indicator so you know what you're clicking on. Or even a flashlight. It's a little clunky, but the story is decent to sit through. I give it a 6/10 on the Pear Scale.
