You can tell right away it's fun couch coop material. There isn't much more variety or depth than a fancy air hockey table, but the game itself is fun and it will probably see more play with us. I recommend trying it if you're at all interested in what you see, as it delivers exactly on what it depicts here.

Barebones is a Pong-like game where you can play in three different modes. However, only Versus mode can be played with bots, while Blitz and Dodgeball require a friend who can play on a keyboard or another gamepad. Versus also supports up to three players per team, so you can have two human players with two bot teammates on each side, or play alone against three bots. As for the controls, you have movement, a dash that lets you rush forward, and a strike that rotates your character and hits the ball at an angle. All three modes play similarly, with the main difference being that Versus includes events. These are random objects that spawn on the playing field to make scoring goals more difficult. Most of them are blocks that you need to destroy, and they also protect both your goal and your opponent's. The number of events and the round duration can be adjusted in the settings. Finally, achievements are disabled if you play solo against bots, so you need at least one other human player to unlock them.
