This is a personal thing and I'm sure that a lot of people won't mind what I had but... The panda feels tooooo slugish and the movement just doesn't feel right.... i really didn't enjoy controlling it and moving through the level and the UI as well... It just feels like this game was designed to be a mobile game for some reason and not something that is on par with other platformers that I enjoy and used to. Again, personal opinion i'm sure that there are people that enjoy these things :) But I couldn't play this game for more than 10 minutes because of that.1 found this helpful
Panda Hero is a colorful side-scrolling platform adventure developed by Markt+Technik and published by familyplay and Markt+Technik. Designed with accessibility and family-friendly entertainment in mind, the game delivers a classic platforming experience built around exploration, combat, collectibles, and level progression. Rather than attempting to modernize the genre with complicated mechanics, Panda Hero embraces the timeless formula that made traditional platformers popular, creating an adventure that is easy to understand while still offering enough variety to keep players engaged from beginning to end. Players step into the role of a brave panda warrior embarking on a journey through a wide range of imaginative environments. The adventure spans dozens of levels, each filled with enemies, obstacles, hidden items, and platforming challenges. While the story remains simple, it effectively provides a reason to continue pushing forward through increasingly difficult stages. The focus remains firmly on gameplay, allowing players to enjoy the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles and discovering secrets without becoming distracted by overly complex narrative elements. The platformi…
This is not a very good video game. I played it for a patreon special for my podcast, The Stage Select, as voted on by our patrons. Panda Hero is a bare bones, boiler plate platformer that can't seem to make up its mind as to what kind of game it wants to be. On first glance it looks like a perfectly passable game for little kids. The character, graphics, and music are all suitably childish. But occasionally the levels ramp up to something approaching an attempt at making something more akin to Super Meat Boy. But the game can't maintain this level of difficulty for long, and then you'll have a run of ridiculously easy levels followed by a couple more brutal ones. Panda Hero is all over the place. Maybe that would be fine if there was some variety in the game, but there really isn't. Once you've gotten to the end of the third or fourth level you've seen 99% of what the game has to offer. Oh, and it's the same song for every level, at least up to the third world where I got to. Steam says I played it for 99 minutes, but I swear I played it closer to 3 hours. Or at least it felt like it was that long. I've played far worse than Panda Hero, but that doesn't mean you should p…
