About Parfum Nostalgique: Full Bloom Edition
What possessed God to trap a teenage girl into a 265-year-old man's body?
You wake up late , sleep when you please, and nothing can come between you and cake.
You love stuffed animals because you can kiss them until they're worn, and fix them when they're torn.
You love fashion and makeup and shiny, red nails.
It's as if this whole city exists watch you dress up and play pretend.
It's wonderful. You live without shame.
But can you love without shame as well...?
Is it so scary to be in love, at your big age?
Parfum Nostalgique is a kinetic visual novel that details a small but eventful window of time in the life of 265 year-old therapist-by-day, dom-by-night vampire, Valdemar Andressen.
Slip into the platform boots of an already too tall 265-year-old therapist-by-day, dom-by-night vampire as he navigates the complexities of love, sex, friendship, the consequences of his actions, confronting his own mortality, the fragility of existence on a floating rock in the endless sea of space, and other lighthearted everyday challenges that come from centuries of life experience.
A heartfelt tale about the people who change us, for better and for worse. From betrayal to unconditional love, from regret to hope, see the drama unfold between old friends, new friends, exes, and lovers when you dive into this kinetic visual novel dram-com series. With delicate vintage shoujo- inspired art, original soundtrack, and a diverse cast of voice actors, Parfum Nostalgique is a lovingly handmade passion project packaged with sweets and scented with roses by sole developer Prince Rosalium for your reading pleasure.

I don't think drinking double standard jimmies and playing this was a good idea.8 found this helpful
This game really feels like reading a 90's / early 2000's Yaoi Doujinshi all the way down to aesthetics and writing (Love that it's technically in 4x3 Aspect Ratio, Makes me curious how it'd look on a CRT Monitor / TV). Really well written and each conversation feels authentic as though these are real people interacting! (If you think the character designs are weird you never been to NYC or Cali have you?) Highly recommend if you want to try something bohemian and experimental that looks silly when you look at it skin deep but sink your fangs in and be ready to experience a story and characters that have so much soul poured into it! <32 found this helpful
If you’re reading this review, you should stop messin’ around and play Parfum Nostalgique!! Where to start? The visuals are gorgeous. The story is sweet, heart-wrenching, touching, intense, thoughtful. If you’ve got object impermanence like me, there’s a great twist at the end. This visual novel is a freakin’ delight that I recommend at every opportunity, you can tell how much love has been put into it, and it’s free to play(?!) - so go go go! (For those curious, I played this game off-Steam; it’s longer than half an hour unless you’re REALLY FAST)2 found this helpful
I previously played this before on the developer's website when it was still being actively developed and decided to play through it again on Steam. What a gorgeous and tender story, with very charming art and characters. It's deliciously messy and empathetic all at once, and you can really feel the love that went into this game. You really need to brew yourself a nice cup of tea and sit down with this at the end of a tough day to enjoy it.1 found this helpful
This has to be one of my favorite visual novels hands down. The story is so lovingly crafted and navigates the themes of queerness, found family, and grief masterfully. These characters feel like people I have in my own queer family, and I found myself growing attached to them all. The art is also something I don't see often in visual novels, and it's so refreshing to see. It reminds me of Ryoko Ikeda's work, so if you're a vintage shoujo fan, you'll definitely love Parfum Nostalgique.1 found this helpful
well why would me, a person who hates vampires and runs from nsfw pieces as the devil runs away from the cross, would play parfum nostalgique, which has a dom vampire as protagonist? the answer is simple: the whole thing isnt about vampires or nsfw, even if they appear. val is more of a yassified santa claus than a daddy vampire, a teenage girl with a very deep voice. after living centuries on the earth, can you really tell that you're wiser? or have you constantly numbed yourself from the pain and ran away from reality using immortality as a fancy excuse? i didnt believe it, but i found myself relating to the little pommerian guy. there's dad humor then casual flirting then living in the city and quid pro quo's and so many silly stuff that's overlapped with heavy themes. and then you're flashed with very sensual ads (of in-game things) in-between. this could kill a christian. there are so many nuances that i surely did not catch in the plot and the characters because i played this for funsies. many things surprised me, in good ways and in shocking ways. these people are crazy. they'll become your new best friends. it really felt like going out with that old friend from highschool…1 found this helpful
