About Parts of the Elephant

Parts of the Elephant is a short and moody visual novel where you decide which threads to follow as the world keeps moving around you.

Explore the liminal space of a creepy hotel, find interesting strangers, and learn lessons vicariously through the brief glimpses of their lives that you can peer into - or just make an ass out of yourself until you pass out drunk in someone's bed.

Tonight is a dark puddle for you to play around in, and no-one's going to care about the mess until the harsh light of tomorrow comes.

An interesting free visual novel game about drifting on the periphery of other people's lives.

It's amazing if you want to play a surreal short story game in one night

Really cool narrative style of something different happening in each place depending on the time you go there combined with very unique and interesting visuals. Definetely a good game, maybe a little overly enigmatic for my taste, but nonetheless a good one.

A visual novel where you can explore various parts of a hotel to encounter different strange stories occurring that night. Every playthrough is a reset so you eventually can see everything. It's a good time.

Incredibly well-written. This is an example of how I would wish to be able to write if I were an author. I can't believe that something like this is free of charge.

I can neither give it a thumbs down nor a thumbs up. It is so extremely short that I finished it by accident. I never figured out who the lady in the elevator was or what "break up" caused my insomnia. The end goal is vague, yet I quite enjoyed trying to visit each location at different times to see what was happening. Trying to drink every drink possible was the most challenging part LOL. I still have no clue about the Elephant and the diagram that fills in over time. Obviously, I can't complain about it because it's free, but I sincerely hope the developer has plans for a much more lengthy version in the future.
