This game would have been fine as early access, but to be brutally honest the store page description is borderline false advertising. There's no journey, no companions, and you're not leading anyone through "the vast wilderness". What you're actually doing is exploring a few relatively small areas of a forest and then going back to sleep at your base, where you'll also be crafting stuff and cooking food. Sometimes you'll find a shack or a trailer or something in the forest and there will be some lines of dialogue next to a static image of a character. They'll send you on 2 or 3 simple fetch quests and then you will never interact with them again. I guess that's what they mean by "care for your companions"? Don't get me wrong, the game is fun in its current state as an isometric survival game, but it's nothing like how it's advertised. It hurts me to give it a thumbs down but I can't really recommend it to anyone as it is, as I'd be recommending an incomplete product.9 found this helpful
Its one of those games you play for hours because you want to advance, but at the same time just wonder if you are really having any fun.2 found this helpful
It's okay, I guess. Rough and tough, but okay. I fell in love with the setting. And though the gameplay is a bit frustrating at first (not a big fan of crafting), it becomes much better when you get yourself a rifle or a decent bow. Nevertheless, I'd prefer more variety in enemies and side quests. I think the companions could play a larger part, do something useful in your camp or at least gather there so the story could feel a bit more interactive.1 found this helpful
Disappointingly short of a game, 100% achievement in just about 10 hours(I was afk for a bit at some point so I got some extra time in) Overall 6.5 out of 10 -not enough enemies type, there's human Archer and human with knife, then second tier of the same two, two type of wolfs, and lastly a giant squid. You would think a spooky deep forest have all kind of dangers but nope. -story is basically nonexistent -ending is basically also nonexistent -camera need some polish, trees sometimes doesn't fade out and blocking the view of your character, almost made me die once -mini games, thank god it's optional when I play the game, I couldnt imagine myself doing the minigame in the entire playthrough -craft planning, you can't see the items that required for certain crafting until you unlock the appropriate upgrade for the stations, making it impossible to plan what to keep and what to process, I wouldn't processed broken gun part if I knew I needed it to make the rifle, not to mentioned it need 5 parts. I only managed to craft the rifle AFTER I finish the game and grind human enemies for about 20 minutes -food recipe, why no food recipe list, -hunger and faith, both needs should have earl…
good game but need some work to become gem
add zoom out camera option is just too focus for me
