About Pete's World
Oh no! Pete the Penguin woke up and found himself in a mysterious and dangerous world. But his mission continues— to collect as many flowers as he can. Help him navigate this challenging world by avoiding obstacles like shooting projectiles, spawning rain clouds and more while gaining points by collecting flowers.This is a small arcade game in which you can:
- Move clockwise or counterclockwise around a disgruntled planet
- Collect flowers to boost your score
- Avoid hazards like lightning strikes, projectiles, and the ever-persistent Shadow Pete
- Challenge yourself to beat your high score!

Seems like the perfect game for a low-end PC to relax with. The thing is, I have a pretty good laptop (Ryzen AI 340) so it should be able to run the game well. And it does. But it uses 25% of my CPU and 60-70% of my GPU, causing it to heat up to about 70 degrees with my fans being obnoxiously loud. As a game, sure, it's kinda fun. Apart from being a little unbalanced and often forcing you to take hits even when you constantly run the opposite direction to the evil penguin chasing you at mach 3 around the planet. But there' no way this game needs to toast my laptop to run.4 found this helpful
[h2]"The Field of Pink and Gold."[/h2] [i]- some old turtle[/i] Very basic game about collecting pink and golden flowers while you (you're a penguin) go around a planet (which is alive) and dodge obstacles. Your goal is simply to collect as many flowers before you die, while the planet tries to kill you with different traps. It's very simple, but it works, and it's free. It's fun to play a for a little bit and try to get a good highscore.1 found this helpful

Fun game to mess around with. I got every achievement in 109 minutes, so don't let that 999 flowers intimidate you. This is a fun little short game, and the dev should be proud!
Fun arcade game with very tight gameplay.
What a sweet, well polished pretty indie game! Only complaint would be that the tutorial is super easy but then goes from 0 to 100% immediately. Making the difficulty gradually harder would have been nice
