Phantom-OS

"Phantom-OS" is an abandoned Early Access attempt to make a "desktop simulator" (yawn), combined with a little asset flipped Unreal engine window dressing as you have to get out of bed and walk to your computer. What that adds to the unpolished, buggy and pointless experience is beyond me. What do you do in the game? Well, it's got nothing to do with hacking obviously, it's just a text based desktop simulator puzzle game, but it's incomplete and abandoned, for pretty obvious reasons. Says a lot about how bad a game is that not only did gamers not want it, but the developer didn't want it either. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 10 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game develo…

Game says FTP but after doing one single task, I got the "YAY DEMO'S DONE!" with literally no option to do anything. Maybe it's user error, but it was probably the most pointless "demo" I've ever played - made even worse by the fact that it wasn't described as a demo.

Really cool idea! First of all the is a lot of potential in adding cool stories and random side quests and gigs. I think that should be the main attraction for this game. However in order for this part to shine you need to find a way to make it easier/clearer on how to hack stuff. Me, I am a programmer and know my way around things like Linux and also how some of the more know hacking strategies work, but if you want to make this for a wider audience the you need to find a way to make it not easier for non technical players. Really good job with this demo and I hope I see this released :D

This game has a ton of potential, and I have high hope for whatever the creator thinks of. 100% recommend.

Fantastic introduction. I would love this to be a finished game. Exactly the niche approach I was looking for in a game lately.

i havent played much but from what i have seen it looks nice and i do know phantom OS is a real OS idk how true to life it is but nice to see that in a game idk how true to life the hacking is either but nice game
