Pilo and the Holobook is an exploration-based adventure game set in a colorful galaxy where you guide Pilo, an apprentice explorer, on a journey to document the universe’s wonders and solve mysteries. Using the Holobook, a powerful encyclopedia-like tool, Pilo collects stickers to record his discoveries and uncover the story behind a mysterious dark force known as the Tar.Set in the mystical XOP-642 star system, players guide Pilo through vibrant, hand-painted worlds filled with strange creatures and ecosystems. Each planet is teeming with unique flora and fauna to discover. Instead of combat, Pilo uses observation and creativity to explore these planets, collecting valuable knowledge through the Holobook.The Holobook serves as your main tool throughout the journey. Players use it to interact with the environment and creatures, turning their findings into collectible stickers that populate an ever-growing encyclopedia. These stickers record your progress, unlock new abilities, and help solve environmental puzzles.

Was very cute, esp a big fan of the sticker styles. I did end up getting stumped with a couple of puzzles, but eventually we got there ^^1 found this helpful

A nice short cozy game, it is a collectathon type game, where you go around collecting stickers to fill up the holobook, or at least as much as possible cuz you do not need 100% completion to finish the game, but you do need that for achievements. The art is beautiful, soundtrack is relaxing, main character is cute, the story is one of those pro-environment/ anti-pollution type ones, you know, something like Avatar or The Lorax, and in the case of this game the threat to the planets it’s called Tar. As for the gameplay; everything revolves around collecting stickers. You do this by standing still and pressing the A button (controller) and spinning around. Ok, it is not that random, you can aim at objects to scan them, this will give you a sticker if you didn’t scan the object before. That is basically it, go around, point at objects (everything from building ruins, to plants, animals and even people) and scan them. You get one sticker per object and you cannot scan an object multiple times for duplicate stickers. Certain interactions like introducing a code to open a door, you also do it by arranging stickers, not by interacting with the code console in the level. Those interact…
Very fun and short game that scratches the collector itch! The environments felt very unique and it was incredibly fun to explore!
A lighthearted little title where i spent 6h30 leisurely playing a charming lil fox assistant collecting cute stickers, helping a science geezer clear out "tar" to fix the planetary system. An easy 100% with a sprinkle of challenge that requires some backtracking. My top tip: scan everything and move on, the remaining stickers will show up as the plot advances. Don't expect deep lore or witty dialogue. Instead, expect a short ride, a cozy sticker-collectathon, gorgeous art, whimsical vibes & adorable character designs.
I really enjoyed this game. It was cute and simple but was really enjoyable to play. It is a complete story with a feel good ending. The characters were cute and I LOVED the art style. If you are wanting to take a break from more strategy heavy games, this is a great option. I think this would also be a good game for kids who are just getting into gaming.
