Very easy, cute and super cosy. The gameplay isn’t long, but definitely worth a try. 7/107 found this helpful
awful sfx, including during dialog, the mouseover sound in the journal and the kids cheering after every objective. frustrating and buggy fishing mini-game. mouse only in the menus and journal. separate volumes and windowed mode are the only settings. non-rebindable controls but wasd and arrows both work and sprinting is decent and without stamina to deal with. every mini-game is timed for no reason (relaxing my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass) and no way you can do the cart one in 30 seconds when taking a single crate to the wagon takes that long and there are 2 of them, plus the wheels. it might've just bugged out, movement slowing almost to a halt while carrying the crate, though I tried a few times. can't exit these either, have to wait for the timer to run out. can still walk around but the window will be following. I did just that, then tried to interact with a flower once the timer ran out and the game stopped reponding. bunnies kept running around but I couldn't, nor bring up the menu to quit. didn't even bother to check how saving works after this, inexcusably terrible experience, worth as much as it costs: nothing.7 found this helpful
It's cute, and it's free, and the tasks are indeed cozy in nature, but you'll find yourself being frustrated with the controls (as always, isometric diagonal movement {say across logs} is painful using a mouse and keyboard), the lists that don't update when you complete a task, weird random bugs (e.g. messages that pop up after you read a sign that remain permanently up), and the omnipresent use of the generic "kids cheering" public domain sound effect. Look, it's a really great effort, and collecting stickers and finishing tasks is fun, but all the abrasive quibbles eventually add up quite quickly, and the second full level (barring the tutorial) is just a minefield of frustrations, largely due to terrible movement controls resulting in you constantly falling from the tree tops. Oh, and as an additional quibble, during the tutorial you will actually have to complete mini-games to catch fish and butterflies.........after that it just automates to become a "press space bar once to win" affair. I don't mind it becoming easier (it is a cozy game after all!) but it is jarringly inconsistent to be taught the rules of a minigame and then those rules are just tossed once you pass the t…5 found this helpful
