In the very slim chance that you’re like me and you just love j-horror rpg maker games and you’re wondering if this is worth playing despite being a hentai game, I’m happy to report that it was pretty enjoyable. It requires a patch to add the hentai content in so by default it pretty much is just a fun little adventure mystery game. The idea of an eldritch God spreading bracelets that grant people’s twisted desires is genuinely compelling and something that would be cool to see explored further in a more plot oriented game. J-horror is basically comfort food for me and the vibes on this were very cozy. The game does a great job at highlighting exactly what you need to progress, although I did find myself getting lost a lot of times and blindly wandering around. Kind of odd knowing what this game is meant to be that it’s asking you to actually put in some effort to play it. But either way, I had a good time and definitely plan to pick up the sequels.

Pixel Town: Akanemachi Mystery, developed by Sprite Hills and published by Kagura Games, is a narrative-driven adventure that leans heavily on atmosphere, character interaction, and a slowly unfolding mystery rather than complex gameplay systems. It presents a familiar setup—a quiet town disrupted by strange events—but uses its small scale to focus on personal stakes and intimate storytelling, creating an experience that feels more grounded than expansive. The story begins in the town of Akanemachi, where an earthquake sets off a chain of unsettling developments: people begin to disappear, tension rises among residents, and an undercurrent of unease spreads through what was once a peaceful community. Players step into the role of Aya, an ordinary young woman who becomes personally involved in the mystery when someone close to her vanishes. From there, the narrative unfolds through conversations, discoveries, and gradual revelations, maintaining a steady sense of curiosity even when the pacing slows. Gameplay is centered on exploration and progression through interaction. Players move between locations, speak with townspeople, gather clues, and trigger events that advance the stor…

You play as Aya, a highschool girl in the town of Akanemachi. Crime is on the rise and when your friend goes missing, you take it upon yourself to investigate and find her. The game is made in RPGMaker, though there isn't any combat. Instead, the gameplay consists of you wandering town, talking to NPCs and gathering items. A random NPC in town will inform you of strange happenings in town, followed by a music cue so you know it's important, and you investigate, usually finding yourself in trouble as you do so. If you have gathered the right items, you can choose to use it to solve the problem, or are otherwise treated to an H-Scene. It's fine, but finding the NPC that triggers the quest flag can be annoying to find sometimes, forcing you to check back with NPCs you have most likely already talked to several times before to progress. It's not like the map is super big, but it can be a little tedious if you just wanna progress. The game itself also seems kinda cheaply made. The overworld song is one of those 45 second clips you would find packaged in with RPGMaker and it doesn't even loop right, and there are no menu options for things like volume control. You have to manually turn…

Fun little game with good pixel art. May want to get it on a discount though just because it is pretty short.

This is a very mediocre game AT BEST, story isn't all that interesting, gameplay isn't all the best, I only have 16.5 hours on it because I fell asleep while playing it and realized it was too late to refund it; its actually so boring and some parts you need some kind of walk-through/guide since the game gives us very vague info, I wouldn't recommend this game AT ALL, and the porn parts are SO BAD(I've seen videos most of it is pretty icky)
