About Pluralys

You play Elie who's 16 years old. A teenager with no story, curious, a bit of a dreamer, a fan of video games. He/She (your choice!) loves spending his afternoons role-playing with his two best friends, Gab and Medie. Elie lives in Sector G with his mother and little sister, who can be a bit of a handful (but at this age, that's only to be expected). The world around Elie seems ordinary. People go to work, deal with their daily worries... In short, everything is normal (well, the Zeings aren't but that's another matter). One day, your life changes as someone contacts you on Messenger Plus!. A strange person suddenly tells you the one thing every potential hero has always heard before: “you're the only one who can change the course of things. But why you? And above all... are you ready to trust them? This game is brought to you by a team of dedicated developers from Canada. 2 years of hard work, no AI whatsoever, all original content created by a group of RPG loving game developers :-). We hope you'll enjoy!Pluralys is a world that is both familiar and profoundly strange. There, you will encounter beings from elsewhere, living among humans. What do we still have to find out about them? Do they intend to settle on your planet forever? Can some of them be your friend? All of them? That may be up to you!The mysterious person who contacted you has entrusted you with a strange device: the Pager. This unique tool is capable of freezing time and revealing details no one else can see.
With it, you can analyze people, move objects far too heavy for a teenager, hack into security systems, and much more…Of course, not every situation requires a pager (tell that to people in the 90s).Pluralys is a living world, full of challenges big and small, as well as several mini-games scattered throughout your journey: choose wisely, solve puzzles, confront enigmas… this game is full of interactions that will let you explore the world in new and surprising ways.
Your journey will sometimes be peaceful, sometimes filled with obstacles, but it will always take you through varied, warm, and unexpected environments: quiet residential areas, lively bazaars, vast deserts, mysterious laboratories…Each location has its own story and each one brings you a little closer to the truth.Narrative is at the heart of PluralysThroughout your adventure, you will encounter short cinematic scenes sometimes touching, sometimes funny, sometimes mysterious that deepen the relationship between characters and reveal more about the world’s hidden stakes. There's no combat in this game, only choices that matter.

I bought this because of a bad review, and I’m glad I did. I literally only bought this game because I saw a highly detailed negative review trashing the 90-minute hospital intro, calling it a "dreadfully boring" walking simulator with zero depth. I got curious, decided to see it for myself, and ended up playing for over 5 hours. Long story short: that negative review completely missed the point. The hospital introduction is actually super important for setting the pace and atmosphere of the rest of the game. If you just rush from objective A to B without looking around, yeah, it’s going to feel like a mundane hospital shift. But that’s the narrative trick—the game wants you to feel that routine before things change. More importantly, it’s not empty. If you actually take your time and look around, you'll find things the rushed reviewers completely missed. For example, there’s a specific door and a hidden key you can find to help Quentin. It is completely optional, but if you take the time to do it, it actually changes parts of the story later on. The game genuinely rewards you for letting it run and exploring the corners instead of trying to speedrun it. As for the complaints …

Just a quick post, as I have yet to finish the game, but so far I am really enjoying myself. And that is coming from someone who usually plays Point n Clicks, action-RPGs (think Witcher 3), or turn-based combat RPGs (like Chained Echoes). Anyway, this popped up as a recommended game, and I’m really glad it did—it seems to have a good story, fun exploration, and cute graphical style. I’ll update my review once I’ve finished the game, but right now I’m just taking my time exploring, talking to everyone, and looking at everything. So far it’s keeping my attention quite well (and I’ve been poking around for quite some time now), which is a great thing. Good game if you like a slower pace of an RPG with a lot of characters and things to see. :)

Very intriguing story, was hooked straight from the intro. Would recommend as a weekend cozy game. Keep in mind there is a lot of reading to get everything out of it, but that is not a negative thing at all and also makes it perfect for visual novel fans.

Super cute, cozy and fun! I love the unique story lines and solving the little side quests. Also clever dialogue that got me laughing a few times.

Unfortunatly my 90 minutes of this (on Steam Deck, not that it matters) were dreadfully boring. During the introduction sequence: - you get thrown into a regular random hospital you know nothing about (and therefore have no connexion with) - you play as a random doctor you know nothing about (and therefore have no connexion with) - you get tasked with the most menial, boring and tedious jobs known to mankind - said task requires you to go all the way across the hospital, talk to person A, be told to go all the way across the hospital to talk to person B, talk to person B, be told to go all the way across the hospital to talk to person C - as you clumsily (you cannot walk diagonally, in 2026, yes) and slowly (you play as a snail dressed up with human clothes, and yes I know you can "sprint", if the speed was doubled, it would start being tolerable) go through the hospital several times to advance the game, you come across many identical looking rooms with nothing interesting inside (no loot, no quests, nothing) and MANY IDENTICAL (and I MEAN IDENTICAL) looking characters that you don't know about, don't care about, and exhaust their one or 2 lines of dialogue before moving on, inc…

If you gave an Animal Crossing villager a concussion, they'd talk like the characters in this game.
