OK, so you're saying, "39 minutes play time, how can he know anything?" Well, the way the game is structured, you go to sifu and ask for a divination in one of 8 different areas of personal growth; social life, spiritual growth, physical and mental well being, etc. Then sifu gives you a series of 6 simple quests to complete to reveal your destiny in the area of personal growth that you chose. The whole series takes about 39 minutes to complete and, at the end, he gives you his prophecy for your future in that area. There may or may not be (simple) combat. Only one of my six quests had combat. You can then repeat the process with another area of personal growth. Quests seem to be randomly assigned and can repeat from one personal area to another. All in all it's a really relaxing experience. The music, especially is designed to relax you. It's nice little game to play now and then and is certainly a breath of fresh air. I had fun and will come back in a day or two to play again.

"Pocket Oracle" is a game that ingeniously combines the ancient wisdom of the I Ching with modern gameplay, offering players a fresh and engaging divination experience. The design of unlocking prophecies by completing six out of fifteen tasks not only adds fun but also makes each divination session full of surprises and anticipation. The hexagram interpretation system is a feature that stands out of the game. It goes beyond simply providing readings and offers practical advice based on the player's real-life situations, such as work, relationships, and finances, making it both entertaining and thought-provoking. The art style, inspired by traditional Eastern elements like ink painting and paper-cutting, paired with ethereal guqin music, creates a deeply immersive classical atmosphere. In summary, this is a lighthearted, creative, and innovative game that appeals to players who enjoy exploring unique mechanics, as well as those with an interest in Eastern culture. Definitely worth a try!

I’ve recently gotten into Pocket Oracle, and I can’t stop playing! The combat is fast and satisfying, blending quick action with enough strategy to keep things engaging. It never feels repetitive, which is a huge plus. The divination system is a game-changer. It’s not just there for show—each card draw genuinely impacts your journey. Deciding whether to follow or defy the prophecies adds a layer of excitement and unpredictability to the game. The visual style is distinct, with carefully crafted environments and hidden surprises that make exploration fun. The developers clearly put a lot of effort into making it feel unique and fresh compared to other RPGs. If you’re into games that combine action with thoughtful decision-making or enjoy themes of fate and destiny, Pocket Oracle is definitely worth checking out. You won’t regret it!

The Big Idea: This game is truly a unique combination of intriguing game mechanics and fortune-telling. The 15 quests all contain entertaining designs. The experiences stylistically resemble the mysterious Asian beliefs and bring the process of seeking the future to life. I played just out of curiosity, and before I knew it this game really hooked my interest. The combat feels super satisfying—smooth controls, solid impact, and a real sense of achievement as you progress. For the divination system, I know it’s just a mechanic, but every time I draw a “good” omen, it satisfies me and gives me a sense of relief. And when it’s a bad one? Well, I start playing extra cautiously for real! 😂 The art style is right up my alley, the artistically replicates what the cultural tales looks like: tons of details, great atmosphere, and even some hidden little surprises here and there. You can tell the devs really put their heart into this. Hoping to see even more cool content in the future, like new quests, more divination events, or even some wild random encounters to bring brand-new experiences. Overall, highly recommend! If this style speaks to you, go ahead and dive in, you won’t regret i…
