Poly Fire is a straightforward multiplayer shooter that I found most enjoyable when I could get into a busy match and focus entirely on the combat. The game puts me into team based first person battles across several maps, with different weapons and characters giving me enough options to experiment with. I liked how quickly I can understand the basic objective and start fighting. The shooting itself is simple but satisfying. I have to keep track of my position, watch sightlines and work with my team rather than simply running around alone. The different weapons give me some flexibility in how I approach fights, while the tactical focus means I get rewarded for paying attention instead of constantly rushing forward. Teamwork is easily the best part for me. Having teammates around changes the way I move through the maps because I need to think about which areas they are covering and where the enemy might be approaching from. I enjoyed the moments where a coordinated push works and everyone moves together, especially when a match starts becoming more intense. The maps provide a reasonable amount of variety as well. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is a garbage, really generic kitbash of low poly Unreal assets dumped on a PvP arena game blueprint for Unreal, a price tag slapped on it (the developer was trying to get YOUR money for other people's game assets), and then wondered why they didn't become a millionaire. (hint: It's because this is garbage).
