Terribly mid at best. It's simple enough to sink some time into. For some reason your 'tower building window' hides all the time, even if you tick it to not 'autohide'. Clicking on anything else makes it disappear. I don't know why you would ever not want the window up, it just adds an extra click to bring it back all the time. It's a minor gripe. I just don't see much value in this game versus all of the more interesting or pretty tower defense games out there, this has really little going for it outside of being generally competent. As you beat the levels you earn points to put into a skilltree which is as stock standard and uninteresting as it gets. ===================== My Tower Defense Tier List ===================== -Not an objective list, purely how much I enjoyed the games- S Tier: X-Morph Defense* | Warcraft 3 (custom TD maps)* | Orcs Must Die!* | Orcs Must Die! 2* | Orcs Must Die! 3*# | A Tier: Dungeon Warfare* | Plants Vs. Great tower defense game that will definitely scratch your TD itch. Awesome upgrades, variety of maps and really satisfying sound effects - easy recommendation1 found this helpful
Great tower defense game, can't wait for future updates.1 found this helpful
Great tower defence game! Worth the six bucks I spent on it for sure. If you like Bloons TD you'll definitely like this one. The only downside is that I wish there was more of it! I would gladly pay for a DLC with more tower variety. Not that there isn't good variety already but I want more.1 found this helpful
Classic 2D (2.5D) TD. Love the sights and sounds. Differentiated turrets are fun. Fair progression system. Overall, a very relaxing and positive experience. Demo progression is carried over. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/towerdefensegamesrated
Definitely a mixed bag which is a shame because there is a lot to like but also a lot of disappointment. Visuals - It's a really pretty game BUT the levels are quite bare and most importantly the enemies are extremely boring. I know its all about polygons but that just means 0 personality, your enemies are all literally different shaped blobs. Gameplay - Very run of the mill TD, nothing is new here but it scratches a TD itch. My problem came with 2 issues, 1 is the difficulty, it doesn't really change. It's the same 40 waves in every map it feels like and they are very easy to deal with. Additionally there is no bosses or anything of the sort, just maybe 12 different shapes to make up the enemy waves. Sound - A great catchy little jingle plays, but it is the only jingle. Combined with fairly abrasive sounds on many of the Towers with long lasting waves/high HP enemies means it gets a bit grating after a while. visuals. For the price it isn't terrible, but it feels like you hit a content wall after 2-3 levels since they are all basically the same but with different layouts.
