About Preserve
Preserve is a puzzle nature-building game that takes players on a journey into a harmonious ecosystem. The objective is to foster and sustain a thriving and diverse biomes, where each component coexists in a symbiotic harmony. By utilizing strategic thinking and a keen eye for balance, players are granted the power to position a wide array of plants and animals, curating an environment that caters to their preferences and aspirations.
In Preserve, you can expand the map not only horizontally, but you also posses an ability to stack layers of nature, forming a vertical network of interconnected habitats.
From alpine forests and savannas to carribean reefs, each biome will have its own unique set of plants, animals, and environmental challenges to discover and overcome. Besides regular harmony and puzzle game modes, creative mode lets you build the land without limitations and photo mode allows you to capture and share your creations at the end of each session.
Nothing can beautify your map more than natural wonders like the snowy Alps, lavender fields or redwood forests, which you can acquire thanks to a unique Card Upcycle System

So this game is *REALLY frustrating. Take the "weekly challenge" there is a time limit. There are sea vents - the river doesn't work like normal and there is NO prompt to tell you how or why. The card says what it says but it is NOT helpful. It could be really good but the experience of being new, doing the tutorial, doing a few levels and then trying the daily challenge to get no instruction is beyond frustrating. It'll be a while before I play again and I won't recommend easily - it's just not fun to pick up, it could be but the lack of this won't work there why is just off-putting. I game to relax not guess at what I'm supposed to be doing.1 found this helpful
Fun Hard And Not The Best1 found this helpful
Had such a great time with this game. It was refreshing to play a puzzle game with random elements, it made it impossible to cave and find a walkthrough when it gets tough. I spent about 30 hours in the game to get all the achievements and had sessions sat playing it with my partner to figure out how to get gold on some of the larger levels. Plus the audio and graphics are great and very soothing. Would highly recommend!
Wow, I really love this! A fresh take on Dorfromantik-style gameplay with more puzzle elements and in-depth functions. I like that the elements work differently in each biome--it keeps gameplay feeling fresh. The puzzle aspects are challenging without being TOO difficult (you might not unlock all wonders on your first go around, but it's not impossible to get there). Graphics are beautiful and it runs very smoothly. Spent 6.5 hours playing this on my first session lol. I do always wish that creative mode for this kind of game came with a "random tile dispersion" mode. I don't want to run out of space to put tiles, but I also don't want to make ALL the decisions.
This is a good game when it works but unfortunately I would not recommend it to other players at this time since it has crashed my PC twice now (leading to Windows rebooting itself) and each time this happens you lose some progress.
calming, simple game that is fun to wind down after a long day :) Fun for all day if you want something relaxing without thinking too much.
