Players praise the game's smooth, responsive controls, minimalist graphics, and engaging soundtrack that make the core bullet-hell gameplay feel satisfying and replayable. However, they consistently criticize poor explanations of key mechanics—particularly how combinations work, how unlocks are distributed, and what various perks actually do—which undermines the roguelike progression experience and forces players to either experiment endlessly or rely on trial-and-error to find viable builds. Additional complaints include unbalanced upgrades that often make gameplay worse, technical issues lik
Unfortunately, this game has the potential to be fun, but isn't as of the time of this review. It has a good premise and the start of a good rogue-like, but: 1. Combinations aren't explained. I still have no idea what it means. The fun of a rogue-like is finding the best builds, but I don't even know how some of the basic aspects of the game function. 2. Unlocks aren't explained. Most items aren't unlocked through achievements. The game just occasionally says, "New item unlocked," and again, I still have no idea how they are distributed. Makes any sense of progression unsatisfying if you don't even know about it. 3. Game mechanics in general are explained poorly and read poorly. 4. The usable items are almost always just barely worth it, sometimes they make the gameplay worse. So basically, unless you get lucky, every item can make a run harder instead of easier, or it will just be useless. Even the Gold Items, which would seem to be Legendary or whatever, are really bad most of the time. Basically this game is good if you want to play asteroids. For example, if you get a super rare item that lets you shoot two bullets it doesn't tell you how much it reduces your shooting rate.…3 found this helpful
A fantastic little action bullet hell game that is tough as nails but with smooth responsive controls that feel good and will likely have you wanting to play again and again! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRO_VkRp3F8 ---------------- * Smooth gameplay with nice responsive controls * Superb minimalist and simple graphics * Awesome sound effects that make the game much more enjoyable * Great music that fits the style of this game perfectly * A huge variety of different enemies to face and open up as you progress through the game * A massive number for upgrades to find and use to keep each game different and varied ---------------- This little gem of a game offers a massive value for your dollar as well as a big time challenge as well. I absolutely love this one and in my opinion it's easily worth $5 to $8. To get this for $2 USD is a Steal! Just buy it, play it, and thank me later! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. especially if you like challenging games and games like Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon. Very similar types of gameplay here with a great value price! My First Impressions Score: 9.4 out of 10.2 found this helpful
Some things really irk me whilst playing this. The amount of absolute garbage power ups with no re-roll ability The way bullets remain from the previous wave and sometimes spawn you on them when a round ends Mobs spawning on top of you No explanation of any of the combos or what they do. "This may combine". Great, what does that mean/do? World 3, level information in black on a black background, no way to change text colour so you can see less than nothing. Finally, no controller support. Overall so many bad choices. It's cheap for a reason, don't bother
Solid 15 hours of gameplay until you master the game, and have 100%ed it all. Overall, the gameplay is very worth it, but some upgrades are just plain crap, so to actually beat the game either requires extreme luck, or a major major skill gap. The strongest combos is just to have a fast Fire Rate, High Damage, and High Health, or Long Range, Fast Speed, & High Damage. Otherwise every build is almost made to fail. Even after 100% the game I have no idea what it means to "Combine" perks, but the game is still fun to play anyways when you have some dead time. 8.5/10 Very Good & Many Shapes
Very cool game. Challenging and entertaining!
Solid little game. Wish the music changed up between floors.
