This game blew me away. To get the bad out of the way, it has some clunky menu/inventory options. But it also has some great options. Like you could change this game from twin stick shooter to half-idle-survivors game play if you prefer. The variety made me want to not put it down. This includes characters, enemies, differ map types, generous amounts of bosses if you want to do more boss fights than normal levels. The different map types aren't massive, but they are the right amount of variety to not feel stale. And sometimes have some minor puzzles. The mechanics all interweave with each other really well. I wanted to play this game for about 1.5 hours when I first booted it up, and finally quit 4.5 hours later. A long session for this type of game to me. Highly recommend considering this game!

Action roguelike + roguelite that plays surprisingly well. +Plays well +Plenty of player choice in terms of GEAR and PERK choices -> "builds" +Ammo & energy mechanics bring neat build variety +Plenty of content it seems -Too easy? -> after infinite L40, traps/hazards will get you though -The "rock" main gameplay music is infernally bad, to facepalm-level -The aesthetics aren't pleasing to me -You will not be able to see anything in the end game with certain weapons as the screen is filled with your weapon effects -> you will not see any of the hazards/traps and die to 1-2 hit of those = Recommended. This game is a great little hidden gem. Going in, I had no idea whether this game would be a 20mins and done kind of deal but there is way more to this game than it first seems. 1hr(ish) runs with a lot of that tasty roguelike min max goodness, and want a twin stick shooter experience; this is a wonderful example of the genre.

Cubed and Dangerous offers a refreshing take on the twin-stick shooter genre. The procedurally generated levels keep gameplay exciting, and the variety of weapons and upgrades allow for diverse playstyles. The physics-based mechanics add a layer of strategy and fun. It shows great promise for fans of action-packed roguelikes, it's fun, it's addictive, and you can't see time passing when you play!

I mean the game is enjoyable to say the least to pass the time. But it is so overly easy i beat the run on the first ever try without dropping below half health. it just feels like a mobile game you pick up to pass the time for $1 and then after playing it once or twice, you never touch it again
