About Project Skylab
Project Skylab is going to make Algebra three-dimensional, engaging, and non-isolating. In the game, the student is stranded on the surface of Mars due to a catastrophic accident. A robot called CAL which stands for (Cybernetic Assisted Learning) controls an army of high tech robots that are protecting your Mars colony base. CAL assumes you are dead because your crew pronounced you dead before evacuating Mars. So CAL, following protection protocols, believes you are an intruder and will subdue at whatever the cost. The only way home is by blasting your way through an army of high tech robots. The student will solve basic to advanced Algebra problems to unlock different facilities to access ammo and the equipment needed to shut down CAL. The goal of the game is to create a comfortable, relaxing, and fun learning environment for students.
IMPORTANT: This is an early alpha build of Project Skylab. I am a college student and the sole developer of this game. The game does contain a few bugs, but none of them affect the core functionality of the game. Project Skylab 2.0 will be launching in early September of 2018. Project Skylab 2.0 is geared towards middle school students. The landscape will be far bigger with more simplified game mechanics, and simpler math problems. Be sure to check it out!
NOTE: It's taken me one year to build this alpha, and I hope you all enjoy! The PDF manual contains the correct codes for the game.
Any feedback is much appreciated!

"Project Skylab" is an extremely badly done Unreal asset flip. Not to be confused with Skylab, NASA's first manned space station from the 1970's, this is instead a very poor Unreal shooter asset flip where the developer tacked some educational "algebra" questions onto the other assets. Needless to say this is not making education better, it's just making gaming worse. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind tha…1 found this helpful
Bugs, crashes and awkward controls make the game almost unplayable.
Contrary to other reviews, I actually fairly enjoyed this. For context, I do a YouTube series in which I find "Bad" Steam games and play them to see if they really are bad. I have played upwards of 20 games at this point, so I have seen A LOT when it comes to "bad" games. I actually fairly enjoyed the concept for this game, and I think it has great potential for the future (If this game gets remade or developed further). I understand this is a one-man project, therefore there will be slight slips in the quality of the game, as well as quantity of bugs etc. so I am going to factor that into account when writing this review. With that being said, I faced a couple of bugs. Namely, some of the Enemy NPCs decided to respawn after I defeated them, which obviously wasn't ideal, but I managed to get past it in the end. Secondly, some of the textures glitched occasionally but this was relatively minor and didn't affect my gameplay. Overall, I am going to recommend this game on the basis that the present bugs get fixed, as well as some minor polishing. Other than that, I think it was pretty good!
I played this game for less than 10 minutes and I did not expect something about math! The graphics are really good and uses unreal engine 5. Also poor optimization and not allowing even for 1080p gaming(i couldn't see much on the right). DO NOT GET THIS GAME!
