I want to like it, but by the end I just felt tired of playing it.

[h1]"Crash Bandicoot, but Sado-Masochistic"[/h1] I want to enjoy this game, really I do; it's got brilliant Hallmarks of Nostalgic Enjoyment for Mid-90's Mascot Platformers, Quirky Aesthetics, Collectables, a simple whimsical plot. But it's hard to enjoy when I get Diffed at the same section in each level Every, Single, Time... PsiloSybil feels like a game that wants to Homage its Ancestors, but only seemed to remember the Memes from people who says "EeT wAs HaAaArD!¡!" and consequently gives us a product that is Ball-Busting; No "Almost" or "Borderline" about it, it WILL!! Kick your Faeces in most times. Controls feel like they can Never reach their full potential, it's nearly always "just" not able to jump high or far enough, or the Hit/Hurtbox is "Just" too Close to execute properly. It also reminds us why old timey Platformers had important mechanics like Hit Points, and Life Systems(I know the Arcade Mode has that, but that's got its Own Problems, like no Save States...) back then, if you died enough you'd be granted a small protection boon, but not here. And with no cause of Game Overs in the regular mode you just keep going on, steadily tilting yourself as you refuse to …

It's hard but not in a clearly play-tested way, instead the developer really just made a disguised rhythm game that requires you to discover the rhythm by yourself and punishes you for guessing wrong by making you start over so you can try again to see if 50ms later (or sooner) is the solution. It's the worst case of challenging you with an opaque puzzle AND the execution at the same time, testing your time and patience. Best description would be Guitar Hero but with invisible notes or the memory game 'Simon' but it doesn't tell you the next color.

A game I don't think that I'll ever be able to finish as it's a very tough corridor platformer (think the likes of Crash Bandicoot or Pac-Man World), a skill issue on my part. It's one hit and you're dead, some cunning hidden collectibles and many swears you will scream after misjudging a jump or falling victim to an off screen enemy for the 50th time. I would recommend this game only to those who truly wish to test their gaming skills. Best of luck to you, if you choose to play.

crash bandicoot 1 was just clearly too easy

the dark sould of corridor twatformers. it is difficile and precise but also fun and no lives system in regular mode and herrm yes it is fun overall but there are actual problemos such as with depth perception (starting with the vine enemies in citrus falls) but oh smell (what i say instead of oh well)
