Pushing Through... is pushing daisies...
Pushing Through... is a basic 2D platformer puzzle game released in 2018. Although it seems decent, the graphics and physics have much to be desired. The goal is to reach the end of the 5 stages in this minimalistic platformer, but how far does this one go? The music is stock, from what I believe I recognize from High Profits and the graphics often look like they're squished or stretched while the protagonist looks ugly as sin. Of course, there's not much to say about this game other than that....but if there is anything positive I had to say, it's that the puzzles are at least decent (if you can tolerate the weird physics implemented into this game) and that it is short. Aside from that, it's your basic platformer, but with beginner-to-intermediate level puzzles. So...do I recommend Pushing Through...? Sadly, no...despite looking into this game again, I still find it boring. I'm certain some people may disagree, but I believe there are better platformer games out there. This one only ended up making me miss playing Super Mario Bros.. Try it if you'd like. It's free and has achievements…1 found this helpful
Игра "Pushing Through..." "Pushing Through..." "Pushing Through..."
"Pushing Through..." is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This platformer differentiates from most garbage platformers in two ways. Firstly, despite not being made up of godawful pixelcrap, it still does look awful. Secondly, there's a block pushing gimmick that makes this a little bit of a Sokoban-lite/platformer hybrid... this mechanism is poorly implemented and un-fun to engage with. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. Visually, this features mediocre hand drawn style "Baby's First Wacom Tablet"/MS-Paint art instead of contemporary graphics, and sloppy animations to go along with them. This obviously looks better than pixelcrap, but that's a really low bar to barely stumble over. It's hard to say if this was because the dev…
Nauseating physics and tons of bugs that prevent you from completing the game. I gotta admit it has character though 2/10
Yeah sure thing, the game is very VERY bad. Movement is erratic, physics is a joke, too many bugs from the beginning. Very frustrating experience. Not worth the download. [1/10]
