Great, challenging puzzle game that feels like a classic. The levels get harder as you progress, but it never becomes repetitive. The music is fantastic and adds to the experience. It really captures the spirit of old-school games. An amazing amount of content, whether it's the story or the incredible number of levels.4 found this helpful
The whole game is like a Hedgehog in the Cage. The brothers turn the spines together, step by step. Solo play is a fair conundrum but the question is: Why not help one another on this lonely journey?1 found this helpful
Perfect for Steam Deck. Just one more level while you sit in the bus or train. That feeling of "Ah yes, I get it now!" is rewarding. The game is not too difficult but also not easy. Players of puzzle games will definetely enjoy this one. Its not for causal gamers though. If you are unsure, try the demo. It offers plenty of levels to finish for FREE! That's dozens of hours of fun. And yeah, it's an obvious love letter to the classic Sokoban. I enjoy this game a lot. And so should you ;).1 found this helpful
I really like the game and expect to enjoy it for many more hours until I explore it all. Building on the classical Sokoban idea of "pushing the box to the goal", Pushmania adds a great variety to the gameplay. Exploding boxes, floating boxes, traps and teleports, and even dimmable lamps. Levels are neatly arranged into "collections" differing in difficulty, visuals, and mechanics. While playing "thematic" collections, I'm enjoying the puzzles as well as the masterfully done tribute to classical games carried by visuals, specific mechanics and even side-texts within the game. There is also a story mode, smoothly mixing the (hi)story of the game's main characters, NPCs, and even real persons. Meeting the Prince of Persia, Doom Slayer, or Solaire adds an extra push to the fun. The local co-op is quite unique, offering anything from enjoying some relaxing collections together to discussing and solving mind-bending puzzles to speed-running the levels and attacking leaderboards.1 found this helpful
buy!!
The puzzles are enjoyable and most seem to have multiple ways to solve them. The leaderboards give some extra motivation to find faster ways to solve the puzzles. There's a house you can return to every now and then to reveal more of the story and also has plenty of references to other games, books and movies. I also find the graphics very charming. The only mild complaint I have is the perspective took a few levels to get used to but now it feels natural. Overall Pushmania is a fun sokoban game I'd recommend to any fans of the genre.
