Pyrocast is yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down shooters infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is your usual Russian fake game... the developer took a basic Unity template/demo for doing a top down shooter, slapped a few stolen assets on it, and pushed it out very quickly to Steam, so it can pad out game bundles from random key resellers. There's really nothing to this game, you just move around and shoot at enemies, it's more dumbed down than arcade games from the 1980's. But this was never intended to be a serious game for gamers... it's a "fake game" to scam random key buyers out of a few roubles. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. You run around the location, kill endless waves of enemies and get points that you can spend after death to increase health, damage or attack speed. + Nice graphics and music. + Simple control. + Casual gameplay. + Leaderboards. - High price, but you can buy a set with a big discount.
