I do not recommend this in the current state. I have joined the first master of hardcore event with some friends but were not able to see each other. Currently there are only NPC's walking around like idiots, jumping and looking to walls...... Although it indicates that you are in a lobby with 30/50 people you only see NPC's which makes it really boring and not like what one does expect of this.3 found this helpful
Was a lot of fun back in March but it has unfortunately been completely abandoned.2 found this helpful
I wish I could write something positive and I really would like to support this app, but to do so I must be honest. I joined the event short before it started. I saw some people on the plaza walking around and throwing fireballs. When it started and I entered the boat (first stage) I was all alone. It was looking like there were many people, but they were all just bots. (They had no names, were not reacting to anything...) I restarted the program many times, read about these problems in the Stream discusssion forum, where others reported the same problem - nothing helped. I really wasn't in the mood to try enjoying the event all alone and just wanted to fix that problem. At 20:55 I finally gave up. Much later I saw in the forums that there was a problem with the hoster that caused these problems and that it would work now and they would restart the event every two hours to repeat it. So at 1:30am I joined again: There were a few people (around 6 or 7) and we waited untill it started. At 2am I got teleported inside automatically (I don't know why). I saw two guys from the plaza before, they also got teleported inside automatically. I asked one where the others are. He told me "beh…2 found this helpful

Hardcore will never die!
Pythian offers a much needed escape in these event deprived times. The throwback events are what you would expect from a showcase of a recorded festival. They are more of a VR cinema than convey the feeling being there. Then there are the (at the time of this review one) special live Events. Those are specially designed as a VR festival event expierience and are nicely crafted with different maps for each dj set. Each set has something to discover and has nice light design like you would expect in a realworld event. The possibility to interact with other players round the expirience and helps to enhance the festival feeling. Overall i would recommend pythian and i look forward to more events of this kind.
