Quantum Void

First off, I want to say that it is impressive what was achieved largely by a solo developer. In terms of the quality of what was built here, it puts many VR Games made by much bigger studios to shame. I didn’t encounter any performance issues and bugs, and overall the experience felt polishedt. The problem is that while Quantum Void is a cool VR experience, it’s not really a game, and it’s simply not fun or enjoyable. I hate to leave a negative review, but I really felt like my time was wasted by this game, so I felt obligated to share my experience given the very positive reviews on Steam. Quantum Void is marketed as a Space Exploration game. The problem is it doesn’t really feel like Space, and it doesn’t really feel like Exploration. The ship you pilot does operate in 6 degrees of freedom, but it has no inertia. It feels more like a car than a space ship. Everything in the environment is static. Ships, rocks, and planets don’t move, and it feels like you’re looking at a diorama rather than floating around in real space. You also can’t space-walk, and there would be no reason to. Traveling between planets and locations is a simple warp-space jump, which is not engaging or excit…

This game is fantastic. The graphics are great and the plot is interesting. The gameplay is more varied than a typical game in this genre, because sometimes you are flying a spaceship, and other times you're exploring inside one. it's really amazing that a game of this quality doesn't come from a big company with a large team of developers. And the developer is so responsive. He's been making frequent updates, and implementing suggestions from players.

Suprisingly good game, more leaning to the story and exploration. Shooting and piloting ship mechanics are basic, mini games in terminals to get acces for some areas are clever and weirdly relaxing. The graphics are simple but decent, maybe adding some height maps on environment textures would further improve impression because use of lights and reflections is already pretty good. The music is great however there aren’t too many themes. Story and concepts are intriguing, game definitely got it's atmosphere right. It took me around 6 hours of playtime to reach one of the several endings and I enjoyed it, even though I got lost in a few places in space. It should run great even on weaker systems since it's not demanding on hardware and optimised. Played in VR on Pico Neo 3 Link, no issues there.

great game, with an amazing vibe. unfortunately my progress is stalled by an input issue with the repeat the pattern mini game. this could possibly be a hardware compatibility issue (i'm using the hp reverb g2). anyway, besides this issue I'd strongly recommend this game

Very good game. Audio is a bit messed up sometimes, clipping like it's too loud. No idea how anyone is supposed to find the smallest ship. I had to look on YT to get it.

I had a wonderful time with this, it ran perfectly on my desktop and my ROG Ally, it's fun and engaging, and just the perfect amount of suspenseful without being actual scary.
