About Radiant Princess - Poni Ceres

Yui Morisaki is just a regular girl, busy with her regular everyday life like the Karate Club and an unrequited love... until one day she meets a little robot named Polka! Suddenly, she's granted the ability to transform into Radiant Princess Poni Ceres, just in time to fight against the evil forces of Zydarg, an alien organization hellbent on invading and enslaving all of humankind.
Fast forward a few months and Yui is coming to grips with her new life, though her heroic activities are starting to affect her grades. But just as she's getting used to dealing with the enemy's regular troops, it seems like Zydarg is escalating the conflict and attacking with monsters. It's time for Poni Ceres to up her game too! Fight through hordes of troopers and supernatural foes to thwart the evil plans of Zydarg, then face the monsters and generals that lead them in battles of both wits and brawn. Keep your eyes peeled for hints about the weakness of every boss...
But there's more than just fighting! Explore vast and intricate town maps to find upgrades, unlock secret scenes and side quests, and uncover more mysteries!
Want an optional dungeon full of rewards? Just head to the nearest manhole and start exploring! Beware of the mean zyborgs infesting the sewers though! Combat & Strategy
There's a lot of combat in Poni Ceres, but brute force is not always the answer. A good strategy will get you out of the nastiest situations, including bosses, and you'll have plenty of time to prepare by learning new skills, stocking up on items, or grow stronger.

A Sprawling City
The Zydarg threat is vast, and so is the city Yui is trying to defend. Explore layered maps full of secrets to find and hidden trooper hideouts to bust... And if that's not your thing, then just bypass them and head straight to your current goal! No one's stopping you from charging right in.

In-game Rewards and Hints
Every little secret or interaction hides a reward. Redeem Small Coins scattered throughout the city for meaningful prizes, or find hidden chests full of permanent upgrades. Wait, is that a clown in that hidden room off to the side...? Don't lose track of any content with the built-in hints and achievements system.

It's hard to explain why I played this game as much as I did. Hope that it'd get better, I suppose? It's got the makings of something great. The art is quite nice. The characters are mostly there. I love Yui's very anime expressions + how the screen changes color when she's mad. Those are good touches. But the bad touches are... most of the actual lewd content. Like, I know *at some point*, Yui will be able to engage in a lewd scene outside of battles that's her own choosing. I'm 12 hours in though, and the only scenes that weren't cruel defeat scenes were getting groped on a train and getting banged by a homeless dude. 12 hours in. 12 hours. I'm not even avoiding it. It's just not present. All of the scenes in this game are over-the-top cruel. We're talking ultraviolence. Blood, electrocution, pulverizing her to smithereens. Oh, the NTR route was ok. That was one instance where you could fathomably find the content hot. There are just... much much better games out there in this general genre. The combat is *difficult* too, and you'd think that'd be a good thing, but it's not because it's also boring. It's all just a giant WTF did I just do with my time. And yet, and yet I still fe…

This is a true game with a plot, and plenty of exploring to build your character up for the boss battles. The adult situations just give it that little extra entertainment.

The story, the fights, voice acting and the music are very well done. there are a few convenience functions missing, which add up over the course of the game. Some of the selection options during and in between fights/bossfights have dire consequences, which aren't properly explained beforehand. Many of the game over scenes are extremely long and not skippable, so when we're not properly told that loosing in a special scene will game over us, and we have to go through the whole dialog again without a skipoption or a saveuption directly before the fight, waste of time quickly amasses without need. Because the art, structure of the story, as said above the voiceacting and the music are great. Also in terms of the lewd content; the creators of the game chose to make many of the scenes game over scenes too, the actual potential for lewd content is in my estimation and when comparing other games like this between 3-5 times as much as we are having. As a result, the core game is very solid, and the lewd content seems unwieldily put, not as accessible and player friendly, and only about 20% of the potential with this amazing character and all the situations she gets in has been explored a…

Would give neutral review if I could. I'm giving positive since I don't think the game deserves 60% it's well made for the most part, fairly long, great VA, challenging fights, and fun exploration mechanics. I am personally not a fan of the
humiliation/NTR
tag. Boy does this game like to
humiliate
the protagonist. It does this too well and too often, however, I am more of a fan of Corruption, which this game does not do very well unfortunately. Aside from that there is a lot of variation in bad endings since each boss is very unique but the scenes drag on for a little too long and then abruptly end without a (in my opinion) satisfying "climax". Still, I had fun even if I didn't enjoy all the scenes so I am sure anyone who likes the tags will enjoy this. I haven't reached the end so might update with more but for now, 7/10

*Patch required to get full experience. Please check publisher website for details* Radiant Princess - Poni Ceres is a fun HRPG with a heavy emphasis on exploring. For those familiar with Dragon Quest, this game feels like the mini medal and seed system cranked up a notch. The maps in the game are filled with stat boosting items and special collectibles that grant battle perks. Most of the items are found via secret passages with clear hints. The player can avoid these collectibles and still enjoy the game. The battles feel balanced with the collectible stat boosts in mind though. As for the explicit content, the game is almost entirely based on scenarios that end with game overs. As in, your player character will be reloading a save after experiencing most scenes. Players looking to see how these scenes have long term affect on the character will be disappointed. However, the scenes do cover a good amount of interests and the art is great. Yui, the female main character, is stunning in both her everyday and hero outfits. Secondary character Karen also is a highlight of the game, if deserving of more screen time. The two male leads are flat as can be, though. Unfortunately, the g…
