I think this Fallout/Mad Max/Borderlands crossover doesn't get enough love, especially for being this old (15+ years) and looking and playing this good. Gun fights are tight, controls are responsive, weapons are plenty (all the different ammo triples the fun!), and the game itself is absolutely gorgeous for its age. I love how tense some parts become, especially at the beginning, when you don't have enough firepower and/or ammo to fight mutants. It's not perfect by any means, but it's one of those games that made me feel kind of sad for finishing it. It's quite unfortunate that *this* game never got a sequel (Rage 2, despite being a good game too, is a totally different beast). A very solid 7/10.

This game starts strong, but the more I played it, the more noticeable the issues became. The gunplay is rather solid, the visuals are well done, and there is a lot of weapons and gadgets that the player can experiment with. The main issue I have with the game is that it is far too easy, even on Ultra-Nightmare. The only exception to this are the time trials, which are incredibly strict on the hardest difficulty, and require upgrades to be able to beat them. Aside from that, I believe that the difficulty only affects how much damage enemies do to you, and no other component of the game is affected. The AI is also rather simple and easy to deal with, they try to differentiate them between other clans but that doesn't really do much. Once you have the Authority Augmenter schematic, the game completes itself due to how many you can craft. I am also not a big fan of the driving and racing sections of the game either, they take roughly about 40% of the games runtime if you plan on completing it. You are confined to linear paths with them and combat is mindless when you are in one. The races and time trials also get repetitive rather quickly, There isn't much of a penalty for your…

Rage is a classic post-apocalyptic open-world FPS that still holds up well. The wasteland offers plenty of locations to explore, activities to complete, race to win, and different ways to approach combat. The campaign is enjoyable, and the additional co-op content is a great bonus. 100% Completion Time : 48.7H Completion Difficulty : 7/10 Playthroughs : 2 Missables : Yes DLC Required : Yes Guide Recommended : Strongly Notable requirements : complete the campaign reaching 100% completion, including all major activities, race, collectibles, recipes...., complete the campaign on ultra nightmare difficulty, all co-op campaign.

So this is an Id game I never played before. Maybe it was the setting or colour palette since this did came out during the PS3 Era and I did get DOOM 3 BFG Edition and both Wolfenstein games on that console. Or maybe it had driving in it and I wasn’t the biggest fan of driving games at the time. And after playing it, while I enjoyed my time with it, I can see it at the bottom of the Id game tier list. Story: So several years in the future a meteor was going to hit earth but the government decided to not be evil monsters for a change and made a plan to both save as many people as they could and give them the tools they need to get things back on track. You wake up even further in the future as the only survivor of your group only to be attacked by bandits but saved by John Goodman who helps you get settled as you do odd jobs around the wasteland. I’m not going to talk about the characters or the overall story or the setting or even that bad ending since they are mostly fine or just there. I was even surprised that John Goodman didn’t die, just left on an errand. Instead lets just focus on the worst part of the plot: The Authority. These guys are supposed to be an oppressi…
