About Range

Range was built as a tool to help you limit distractions and make work (or play!) sessions more productive. Embark on a drive by selecting a duration for your session and any tasks or goals you want to complete. Select the environment you’d like to drive through, and customize your vehicle to your liking! Set off on your relaxing drive, complete tasks as you go, and decompress with a break before your next session.

As you complete sessions (and breaks!), level up with rewarded experience and build up Credits. Credits can be spent to unlock the full roster of 8 customizable vehicles and 10 different vehicle accessories. As you level up, you automatically unlock 4 different playable environments.

As you play and level up, enjoy drives through new areas - the Snowy Mountains, Coastal Highway, Canyon Straights, and Redwood Forest.

As you complete sessions and tasks, visit the Log to keep track of everything you’ve accomplished.

As I got more and more used to using it, it became better and better for my productivity. I like how it adds a subtle feeling of being "leveling up" & buying cosmetics for my car, after finishing a long working session.

A genuine amazing simple game if you want to focus on tasks, however there are drawbacks, that made me a little sad.. They are -> 1. The game for some reason stops the music, when you start driving and on break, I don't know if that's intentional or not, but I know that building in a music option, while you focus would generally make the game better and that's IT. Yes that's the only thing I'm a bit sad about. The game is awesome to focus on tasks, if you don't get to do your tasks in time, well you set up your time for them and then try again after resting and plus it's like 3 euros? It does what the game promises.

If you're like me, and use a lot of timers in your workflow, Range is great, and fairly priced. The fact that Range has a log for what I did each day immediately put it above the Google timers I use, since I can look back and mentally sort out what I accomplished each week; that--and being able to tick off manageable tasks, one step at a time--it pushes some "tactile" button in my brain that I really like. This game has a low scope with the base mechanics it needed, I can think of several things I'd like to see more from, like the Log being sorted on a calendar, or adding side-notes/an overview to a specific day on the Log, but in the end, Range does it's job, and I like that.

Nice idea and execution, I run it on my 3rd monitor. Also an inspiring example on keeping an idea simple and publishing to the store which is a big challenge all aspiring Indi developers face. Excellent!
