About Ranocta

This game is the second creation of "Lanota - Music game with story".

An old, broken tuner, and a dark world that has yet to recover. Nevertheless, when they can't give up on purification, a makeshift tuner is created by combining a skeletal judgment line and a music-energy stone called a 'purification stone.' Taking care of this unstable invention and starting over again, there is a whole new style of performance that is more confusing, complex, bumpy, unpredictable, but sometimes colorful, dynamic, brilliant.

Characteristics of the game

1. There is a judgment line that freely crosses straight lines and circles, and it is a unique system that remotely hits notes by controlling two 'purification stones' placed on it with eight key inputs. The nine types of notes, each in a different way to destroy, are designed to reflect the characteristics of the game, and the oddly woven patterns, combining all these elements, give you a shock you've never felt before. Enjoy 27 kinds of song pattern, which range from boringly easy to very challenging and difficult.

2. With the permission of Noxy Games Inc. and composers, some great pieces from Lanota were brought.

3. Pictures that exclude characters and place more importance on color than shape fill the screen. Object design and illustration applied for each piece of music are somewhat clumsy and clunky, but on the other hand, they form a sensuous and profound atmosphere.

An interesting and unique rhythm game. Would love for more people to know about this.

"Ranocta" is a very poorly made rhythm/QTE game... think about Guitar Hero but remove all the music, the battle of the bands theme, the interesting gameplay and mechanics, and replace none of it, leaving a shallow shell of a game with the bare mechanic and some terrible "music". It's easy to see why this failed on Steam Direct. This is barely any different from a browser game from the late 1990's, yet has been dumped on Steam Direct as if it's a modern PC game. This just isn't up to the quality standards expected from contemporary PC gamers. If I wanted to play "games" like this, I'd be searching for free browser games in Firefox, not looking for Flash tier games on Steam. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. The graphics here are particularly awful, the graphics are so bad it looks like someone had a stroke while trying to do an abstract oil painting, so bad that it actually stands out as…
