There are some good ideas here, but ultimately I felt like the enemies and combat were not particularly interesting. I was also disappointed after having played the demo to find that Winny doesn't talk to you at all during the game. I figured it would be a space adventure with your ole pal and the lack of that interaction makes the experience feel a bit hollow, like you are on your own. The structure of the game with flying between planets (levels) is a fun idea, but in execution I found myself locating items without having encountered the part of the story that would have given context to why I just fought someone for them. Finally, video games can be frustrating during platforming sections and this game is no different. However, without engaging combat or a compelling story and character interactions holding it together, I am putting this one down. As a side note, I felt the main character's dialogue didn't match the charm of her design. Otherwise, movement just didn't feel tight with you snapping into place quite a bit. Seems like the developer cares about the game and is releasing regular patches.

Starts out as a fun game with cool art and music. but after a while the bugs ruin the fun.

It has Silksong’s price, but not Silksong’s quality. The platforming is kinda awkward, the animations are rather primitive, and the visual effects are sometimes overwhelming. Some minor bugs and glitches can be expected. There’s no unique boss music either. The art style is kinda good, though. Buy this on a hefty discount.

A short Metroidvania to play and enjoy, it was a fun surprice. The good: -Art style is really good adn resembles 60's comics. -Variety of challenges on each planet. -Mostly tight controllers. The bad: -The Solar System map drags at first. -important info is shown on NPC you don't interact with. -Wall Jump is clonky. The Ugly: -With the exeptiion of one Music track at the first planet and the final boss, most of the music is there to fill the void. -Blaster and Sword sound effects are too loud. The game is really good but it still has a lot of stuff to polish like no one tells you can pogo on enemies with your sword. The game has a lot of potential and if there's a sequel I hope the expand on the character's personality and the universe she lives in.

Great visuals, fun to run and jump and shoot. Overall good game with some glitches and janky interactions.

[/h1] I like this game, I bought it because it reminds me of Earthworm Jim and other old SEGA games, but I can't recommend buying it right now, even though I would like more people to buy and play this game: the game has potential and good mechanics and I relly want to see a sequel. But it feels like they rushed the release, because right now it feels like playing beta version of the game: [list] [*] a loooot of bugs, [*] softlock , glitches, [*] empty rooms, [*] unfinished mechanics [*] sometime music is good, somtimes you want it off [*] costs more than Silksong??? etc.[/list] Like I litterally had to swich between gamepad and keyboard to play this game, restart it , because of the softlocks and missed some game content, because some scpirts didn't work. I have no idea why, but I LOVE even this version: Quinn, the art, the bosses, the exploration etc… it’s all amazing! It’s basically a time machine back to my SEGA Earthworm Jim days. My inner child is jumping for joy. Sure, some will call it “Metroid at home,” but honestly… home is where the heart (and the fun) is! I hope the devs fix all the iss…
