The game is about survival and is roguelite in nature, a bit of a spinoff from the Shades of Rayna which is a game I also recommend. You survive waves against hordes of monsters and get ability upgrades to last as long as you can. Takes a bit of a learning curve and starts slow but as you get stronger with each run it gets a lot more enjoyable. Join the discord! The Dev is really helpful and willing to listen to any suggestions you have for the game and theres an awesome community, I'll even answer any questions if you reach out.

Rayna Survivors, developed and published by QuickSave, positions itself squarely within the now-familiar “survivors-like” formula, but tries to carve out its own identity through a heavier emphasis on build variety and layered progression. At a glance, it follows the expected structure: you enter a map, fend off increasingly dense waves of enemies, collect experience, and shape your character through a steady stream of upgrades. It’s a loop that’s easy to grasp and immediately engaging, but the game’s long-term appeal depends on how much players enjoy experimenting within its systems rather than expecting constant novelty. The moment-to-moment gameplay is fast and reactive, built around movement, positioning, and managing space as enemies close in from all directions. Like others in the genre, combat leans heavily on automated attacks or abilities, shifting the player’s focus toward survival tactics rather than precise aiming. What keeps things interesting is the breadth of upgrades available during each run. With a large pool of abilities and modifiers to choose from, players are encouraged to experiment with different combinations, gradually shaping a build that can either overw…

This has quite a bit of potential if it weren't for one glaring problem: the way your abilities are used is rather confusing and problematic. You have an auto attack that is fine (I only played the Ranger) but once you start unlocking abilities, they are based on cooldowns that are directly tied to each other. Meaning that, once you have more than one ability, if your second ability is on cooldown once your first attack is used, you're stuck waiting until said cooldowns coincide with each other. When it works and things chain together, it's pretty satisfying, but having to wait sometimes 30 seconds or longer for said cooldowns to line-up, just makes things boring, clunky and troublesome. Also, there are these root things that have HP bars in the first level and despite being able to attack them, you do zero damage to them. The only way to actually kill them is to unlock the first thing in the progression tree so that you can destroy them. Such an odd implementation. If that was made clearer from the get-go, it wouldn't be as bad, but as it is, you have zero idea as to why you can't kill them. Also, I will echo what others have said about this being rather grindy. Almost all pro…
