A fun little survivor-like that’s easy to pick up and surprisingly addictive. The upgrades feel satisfying, there’s enough variety to keep runs interesting, and watching your build slowly turn into complete chaos is easily the best part. It’s a bit rough around the edges, though. Some weapons feel much stronger than others, the menus could be better, and the game doesn’t really do anything new for the genre. Still, it’s a solid choice if you just want something simple, cheap and enjoyable for a few hours.

Pixel Survivors: Roguelike is a fast-paced action roguelite developed and published by Amrita that embraces the addictive gameplay loop popularized by modern survivor-style games. This game absolutely looks and plays like, "My first video game". Someone is learning how to make a Vampire Survivor-type game and this was the end product. And even though the aesthetic is not far from each other, Vampire Survivor has an almost undefinable element to it that makes it infinitely more fun than this was. It's not bad, but good enough to recommend. Just kind of boring.
