"Retail Wars" is a badly made student project where the students apparently intended to try finish and charge for their homework assignment. Yeah... it gets worse, too. What do you do in the game? This low poly "party game" has you pretending to be a console peasant and using a console peasant children's toy gamepad to run around and throw objects around a shop. Be better than your friends at throwing stuff! Just kidding. If you ask your friends to play games like this, you soon won't have any friends at all. The developers abandoned this 2 years and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad …2 found this helpful
A banger of a demo. It really had potential to be a great multiplayer game. Not sure why they stopped dev, they could have made some nice money on this one if they saw it through.
solid gameplay loop, friendly aesthetic, reminiscent of old couch multiplayer games on console.
Quite fun game to play with the family. However is taking too long for having new "stores" available (even if not for free).
interesting to play with, full controller support, and unique art makes me think it kinda similiar to overcook and moving out somehow but with this different gameplay, makes it different than other two. also good for those who want to relax and play with friends offline
