About Revenants: Spirit & Mind
✦ AI summary
Investigate a cold case at an abandoned academy by using futuristic tech to locate, photograph, and trap demonic entities while piecing together a mystery dating back to 1997. Strategically choose from specialized equipment like proximity sensors and tesla traps, document evidence with a magic-infused Pentacam, and engage in tactical supernatural combat where preparation and positioning determine your survival.
Become a professional occult investigator, using cutting-edge technology from 2030 to locate, trap and battle demonic forces, all whilst solving the mystery of this occult crime.
You'll need a sharp eye to locate evidence throughout the case, documenting all you can find with your camera whilst exploring the abandoned crime scenes. As a professional investigator, you'll need to put the case together, by connecting the dots and discovering who the culprits are.
Choose which technology you want to take on the case. Each time you visit the academy you'll decide what equipment you want to take with you, whether that be sensors, traps or weapons. Your detective mask will give you some protection from aggressive entities but don't be surprised if some of your equipment breaks in the field.
Either way, you'll always have your trusty tablet at your side, allowing you to picture any evidence you find and keep demonic forces at bay. This is no regular camera, the Pentacam was built using ritual magic. The demons will fear you as you charge up the Pentacam and manifest them further with each shot. Until they are eventually captured within the device.
Revenants: Spirit & Mind is a standalone case, with additional cases being released in the future.
This case has been cold since it was abandoned in 1997. What started with a missing schoolgirl, soon escalated with multiple students and Police Officers injured. It's taken 33 years until the technology has been able to level out the playing field, and now Spirit & Mind academy is ready to be explored once again.
Exploring this sprawling academy will be no easy feat. Being one of the first people to enter the academy in all these years means there's plenty of undisturbed evidence still to be collected. Are you the investigator capable of solving the case? Or will you end up like the others...
The Electro-Magnetic Cube is your reliable proximity sensor. It'll alert you whenever an entity goes anywhere near the cube. Keep it nearby to stop any demons from getting the jump on you, or leave it somewhere to keep an eye on an extra area.
The Tesla Gate will allow you to set up the encounter in your favour. By placing the individual tesla coils around an area, you can set up a network of 'trip-wires'. When activated, these will stop any entities in their tracks, allowing you to take the shot.
There's also weaponry such as the Ion-Flashbang. This works like any other stun grenade, except it packs a punch against usually untouchable entities. Using all of this equipment effectively will be essential to getting the edge and capturing demons.

Although it's still in early access I feel this game has a lot of potential if the devs stick with it. For now you get 1 mission, but for me it's still incomplete. More on that below. First off is a game that's pretty similar to Phasmophobia in which you hunt for clue about the current demon or ghost. You capture the demon & find clues about how the subject was killed & what happened. The game has a decent amount of spookiness to it, all though there are some features that should be added for some atmosphere. OK my problems with the game so far is after I completed the mission & went back to the basement, collected all the evidence & captured the demon, nothing happens. I applied all the evidence to the wall & just nothing but credits on the tablet. I'm assuming this is just the end of the game so far, but not sure. Some of the sounds in the game are way too inconsistently loud., also there's no background audio just silence. This may just be due to the nature of the game. The tablet will slowly drift away from your hand & you have to re-grip it to reset it back to it's position. This will happen while you're being hunted & it gets annoying after a while. Game needs a lo…5 found this helpful
Played on both Samsung Odyssey+ and Quest 2 with Link. I beta tested this game before it was released. It's a nice atmospheric horror game with a bit of story and great environments. Graphics are decent. The developer legitimately puts good work into the game, and addressed all of the bugs that I found in the beta. I highly recommend giving this one a try.3 found this helpful
Revenants: Spirit & Mind is a VR Action / Horror game. it worked on my HTC Vive, Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You have tools to catch demons with. There is only one mission with the base game, another mission might be released as DLC later. The inventory system is clunky. Maybe buy on sale or wait for release from EA. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group2 found this helpful
Like most games that just released from small Indie Devs, it has its share of bugs. But if you can look past that it's the perfect game for what it is. A great "ghost hunting" game that gives you an interesting single-player experience looking for clues/evidence and solving cases all while being hunted by ghost along the way. Although I love a Co-Op experience I can understand/appreciate how they've created the way their game is to be played. All in all for the price it's listed at ($12.99), I think the game has a fair amount of content, and the Devs can't do anything now but add more along the way with support.2 found this helpful
Revenants first off, is a very immersive VR gaming experience. It will scare you, wear your brown pants. In the game we play a Occult investigator, that collects evidence of demonic forces, then hunts them down. We have a range of high tech toys to work with. We are on a cold case called Spirt & Mind, its a old case of a missing school girl. We will be exploring a creepy old school, where we must investigate and collect evidence of demonic forces, then try to survive and hunt them down. This game gives me strong vibes of the TV show Supernatural, with the Winchester brothers Sam & Dean. Unlike Sam & Dean though, I was not as brave, and the hair on my arms actually stood up at times. The game world is dark and scary, and will send chills down your spine. From the spooky looking dark school we explore to the great sounds and background music, you will feel like you are in a horror movie / show. Supernatural made this job look easy and fun. It was challenging and terrifying instead. I went into this think, hey I'm going to hunt down some demonic forces, I am going to be a tough guy like Sam & Dean or at least like a Ghostbuster. But no, I felt like I was the one being hunted, and dre…1 found this helpful
