About Rogue Aces Deluxe

It’s time to join the Rogue Aces and liberate the islands from The Baron and his dreaded pilots. Will you be able to face the fiercest of foes with only one life and three planes? Take down waves of dastardly enemies in this endlessly emergent air combat rogue-like where nothing is the same twice. With a multitude of game modes to discover, no loading screens to stutter the action and a whole lot of landscape to take back, jump in the cockpit and take back what’s yours!

Arcade Action - Old school challenge

Inspired by retrogame classics such as Wings of Fury and SkyStrike, Rogue Aces takes good old fashioned arcade action, mixes in some balletic dogfighting and procedurally generated islands to give you one of the most replayable air combat games ever made.

Aerial Combat - chaos on all fronts

* LIBERATE your home islands from The Baron and his army of rotters on land, air and sea
* MASTER the Aerial Steal to eject from your fighter and steal an enemy plane mid-air
* DOMINATE the skies with machine guns, bombs and rockets
* CRASH spectacularly as you fail to land on an aircraft carrier
* FLY with panache with the deep control system which allows you to throttle, stall and boost to your heart's content
* PARACHUTE while lobbing grenades, but do try to land where the enemy can't see you

Multiplayer - dogfight with your friends

Rogue Aces Deluxe also includes brand new 1 to 4 player local deathmatch modes exclusive to PC:

* PURE DEATHMATCH - go 1 on 1 against human or AI planes in the air arena
* DELUXE DEATHMATCH - total carnage with insane powerups like laser, chain gun, flame thrower and support blimps
* WING COMMANDER - absolute aerial mayhem as each player has two AI wingmen

Fantastic game that I keep buying. I really hope for a sequel on the PS5 with BLOOD. WITH BLOOD.

I have to leave this fantastic little gem of a game a positive review as it has so few reviews here on Steam. I first played Rogue Aces on PS4 and got the platinum trophy, having a blast in the process. Then, it was on sale on Switch and I did it all over again. It's been on my wishlist here in Steam for a few years and with the recent sale I've bought it for a third time! So why is it so good? It's a 2d air combat game, which sees you shooting down enemy fighters, bombers and Zeppelin's while also bombing enemy factories, aircraft carriers and more in a roguelite gameplay loop which is hard but not brutal. All while a banging soundtrack plays in the background. I find it immensely fun and repayable. It also works perfectly on Steam Deck, for which, it is a perfect pick up and play game. It's a real gem and one I'd highly recommend.

This game reminds me very much of the Broderbund Wings of Fury game I played on the Amiga. It's not exactly the same but the gameplay is similar and I know I sunk and inordinate amount of time into that one back in the day. I had a copy of this on PS4 that was a monthly free game from PS Plus but the PC version of this is better in every way. Loads of fun!

I picked this game up for 3 bucks and at that price you can't go wrong. Even at $10 I'd still recommend it. There's enough here for hours of game play and it's pretty solid. Definitely much more fun if you can get a few friends to join

An incredible game to play, it takes a little time to master but worth it. Being around for a long time (I remember going to see Star Wars several times... in 1977! before the hateful edits, I also played a lot of shoot-em-ups, and this is one of the best and a mix of old school with modern hardware and effects. Choplifter springs to mind, though it's a different style of game, it has echos of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choplifter 1942 being another, though Rogue Aces has much much more freedom to explore https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1942_(video_game) Plus of course I have to add the brilliant Pop'N Twinbee to the list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop%27n_TwinBee Rogue Aces has influences of them all and more, and even though it's it's own game, it's all the better for it. Also, remember the aircraft steal in BF1942? Yep that's here too!
