Sky Rogue is a fwooshy rogue-lite action flight simulator! Blow things up over land, sea, and air, on an infinite number of procedurally-generated islands. Choose one of a diverse set of aeros and kit it out with a dizzying array of weaponry. Go toe-to-toe with enemy aces or assault giant flying aircraft carriers and battleships, but watch out for volleys of missiles; when you die, you're dead.

I love Sky Rogue! Yes, it's a little rough around the edges (and it is a pretty old game as of me writing this) but all in all, it's pretty good. I was skeptical at first. It's honestly rough in some places. The UI looks kind of dated. I seriously wish we could change the control settings mid save. The controls can be hard to get the hang of. There are a couple of bugs, too. But as I continued playing, I realized just how addictive Sky Rogue truly is. The gameplay is exhilarating, with tight and punchy dogfights and a delightfully dynamic music system that truly makes you feel like a badass. I think my favorite part of this game is the music. Every single song is appropriate for its level and all of them are just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. I had to buy the soundtrack and I can't stop listening. Props once again to Phonetic Hero and Kubbi. It's a bit short, but if you enjoy fast paced arcade-style gameplay with a decent learning curve, this game might be perfect for you!4 found this helpful

a surprisingly great rouge like
It's a fun way for flight combat nerds (like me) to pass the time blowing up targets on islands that are never quite the same. Don't take your enemies lightly, however: the difficulty ramps up quickly with each passing day, and you'll need to be very careful choosing your loadout and honing your flying skills in order to survive. Death means having to restart all over from the beginning, so as the days go on, the stakes rise alongside the difficulty. Additionally, the Steam Workshop has plenty of planes for you to download and fly. Whether you want to try out a fictional plane, a depiction of a real-life aircraft, or an absolutely broken superweapon of a jet is up to you.
pretty decent game, can do some funny stuff although I cannot for the life of me beat the final boss
