About Rogue Climber

The clock is ticking. Reality is crumbling. You’re being hunted down. Can you survive the climb?

Nah.
Tick-tock. Enemies are closing in. The further you climb, the more challenging it becomes. Every second counts.
  • Precision MovementBlink-dash through the chaos, ground-pound into your foes, and chain wall-runs like a parkour master—master the climb, or plummet to your doom.
  • Enemies & Traps Around Every CornerSpikes bursting from the floor, fire-breathing monsters, and gravity itself are all out to stop you.
  • Tactical GearCollect one-time-use equipment as you climb—but beware, carrying too much will weigh you down.
  • Strategic UpgradesBuild your loadout with powerful upgrades, but choose wisely—your slots are limited. Level them dynamically as you climb, adapting to every challenge.
  • Roguelike ChallengeThe climb never gets easier, only you get better. No excuses. No mercy.

You still think you've got what it takes? We'll see about that.

Gobbos might seem harmless—but don’t let your guard down. When lightning rods black out your vision and a swarm of man-eating cave worms surround you on all sides, landing your jumps on a Gobbo's cap will make your palms sweat. You will find checkpoints along the way. They're one-time-use only, though. And yes, there’s a grapplehook. Because grapplehooks make everything better.Equip Seals to unlock powerful abilities—but there’s a catch. Each level has a PWR limit, so choosing the right Seals is key.Crystals let you boost Seal power during your climb, but upgrades happen at random. Will you gamble on a full loadout or focus on a few to guarantee the boost? The choice is yours—use your noggin or trust your luck.Still here? Good—you’re tough enough for the advanced movement controls. Wall-runs, blink-dashes, ground-pounds, and jump-combos are just the beginning. The deeper you explore the controls, the more you’ll uncover. Use blink-dashes to phase through obstacles, sprint to extend combos, or queue a dash for later with precision timing. Master the climb, and the climb will reward you.

Only the fastest, sharpest, and most precise climbers will rise above the rest. Will you be counted among their number?

✦ AI summary

Players praise Rogue Climber's addictive climbing gameplay loop and colorful, charming design that appeals to both kids and adults, with mechanics that reward experimentation and create engaging "just one more run" sessions. The main complaint centers around controls feeling imprecise or "flighty" and a steep learning curve with mechanics that aren't always clearly explained upfront, though players seem willing to overlook this given the game's Early Access status and overall fun factor.

Climb—climb, keep climbing—you just can’t stop! Jump, jump, don’t fall (lol). Even though it’s still in Early Access, the game is already a blast. I’m looking forward to its full release

very underated indie game, I've had a lot of fun with this game, it's simple concept of climbing as high as you can works really well in combination with the various movement mechanics that are used to your advantage (or disadvantage >:] ).

A game your kids will love, but you'll end up enjoying it more. Clearly made with care, and even when I had no idea what was going on, I could tell there was some kind of deeper mystery to uncover.

****** 5 STARS ***** “Rogue Climber” is a wonderful surprise for both kids and parents looking for a fun, lighthearted, and engaging game experience on Steam. Designed with colorful graphics, upbeat music, and challenging yet rewarding gameplay. The game’s main goal — climbing as high as possible through visually stimulating levels — keeps kids entertained while also challenging their reflexes and problem-solving skills. Each climb feels different thanks to the multiple levels while increasing challenges at each level. This has encouraged my kids to experiment with different options within each level. I particularly love how the game balances fun and creativity. As players ascend, they encounter clever obstacles, whimsical creatures, and hidden power-ups that keep the experience fresh. The bright art style and friendly tone make it completely family-safe, and the absence of violence or dark themes means parents can relax while their kids play. Overall, “Rogue Climber” is an absolute gem for children (and even adults who enjoy cheerful, casual games). It’s easy to pick up, satisfying to play, and full of personality. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and …

Interesting game concept, I think there are a lot of ways to go with this. Controls are a little flighty and have a lot of items that you have to learn as you go. There is a level system with story elements. Excited to see where the game goes!

'Keeping going up' is a very clear game objective I can get behind. Rogue Climber has an addictive loop that is engaging, even when my dumb hand-eye-coordination fails me. But, at my age, that happens in just about every game. It's very easy for me to 'just one more level' myself into increasingly longer sessions in spite of me still working out more of the subtle mechanical interactions. Very fun.
