Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Roles & Dice is a software application that competes with actually professionally made tabletop emulators like Roll20, only this is so much worse, features what look like almost certainly plagiarised/stolen character art, and is infested with toxic mobile app cash shop microtransactions. Disgustingly the developer of this app advertises it as a "free game", when it's not a game and it's not free. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes …

it's actually a very good and free version of something like game master engine or something like that. It doesn't have rtx or god given graphics, but it's honestly better in my opinion. Easier to run even on worse computers.

Does not seem to accept image links. so i cant seem to make it work. waiting to see if it works later.

This looks awesome, unfortunately im not sure if there's a problem on my end or not. Im unable to load tokens. The url paths dont work for some reason. Ive watched the tutorials, I know how its supposed to work, but for some reason it wont let me choose my images. Is there any updated info on how to do this?

I like the application but I wish there was a little more customization to it. The sheet for the tokens (or characters) is very basic. It has HP (health points) but not MP (Mana points), evasion, etc. You cannot add or subtract lines in the sheet to create what you want from it. Interestingly enough, it does have D&D dice though, just not the sheet you'd need to go with it. So i guess the application is good for visual purposes, even if there is no special effects to show a character hitting another, casting, etc. Just when they die/explode from the board. On a side note: Dont use any URL images from discord to attach to your tokens or background board drop unless you plan to finish your campaign within a 24 hour period. Apparently discord image links last for 24 hours before they change address in the background for security purposes. So when you open the application again after 24 hours from playing, your board and tokens will come up blank to which you'll need to paste all those new links to those images again on your board and tokens for them to show.
