Rolling Hills: Cozy Sushi Restaurant

★★★★★ 5/5 – Finished the game AND all achievements in 2 days. That says enough. Not gonna lie, Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends was addictive. I reached the end game and completed all the achievements within 2 days because I just kept telling myself, "Okay, one more day..." It reminds me a lot of the Diner Dash-type games I used to play when I was younger, so there was definitely a bit of nostalgia there. Serve customers, get faster, upgrade things, improve the restaurant, repeat. Simple formula, but apparently extremely effective on me. I played entirely without a controller because I'm a PC person through and through. Give me WASD and I'll navigate much faster than I ever could with a controller. And the perks in this game are actually PERKING. The dash and speed boosts especially made such a difference once I unlocked them. By the later parts of the game, I was basically zooming around the restaurant serving everyone. Also, THANK YOU for letting us pause during opening hours. Seriously. enjoyed this game alot! easy and forgiving controls. good upgrade system. nothing was too complicated and the difficulty went up fairly. storyline was easy to follow. had to grind for a few hours at the end to get all the acheivements but it was rewarding when i did!

This game is amazing! It is the perfect cozy game! I love the casual progression that doesn't seem to "tutorial"y!

First I wanna start this with I played the entire game on steam deck as I got a pop up saying it's better on controller. I do not have a controller. So Steam Deck it was. So keep that in mind. I'm giving this game a tentative recommend. There's quite a few things I wasn't a fan of with this game, but the overall gameplay was enjoyable enough that I feel like it gets the recommend button (seriously steam we've been asking for years for a kinda button...) So what is the game? You play a little robot that makes sushi (except you don't) and you go to a failing town as a chef to open a sushi place under false pretenses. Not gonna spoil the story, but the town needs your help and your revenue. When I say you don't make sushi I mean it. The "making" of the sushi is just your robot pressing a button on a machine and the machine makes it. You don't make anything. Then you just go table to table and deliver the plates. People will order dishes based on category (sweet, fish, vegetable, and hearty). You also have the bonus category of rainbow, which can be given to anyone. They will also want a certain quality of food represented by a number. So you'll see a color bubble with a number on i…

Fun for the first few hours, but got very repetitive and grindy after level 10. Also feel like there should be more to do with the actual sushi, all you really do is serve it.
