About Roommate

Roommate is a complete Visual Novel that puts you in the place of its characters.
You will have multiple alternative routes and several roommates as pleasant as each other.

This game contains two chapters.

In the first one,
You will play as Alvin who is in love with Naomi - his lovely roommate - but unfortunately in a relationship with a moron.
You will help her break up or stay with him, but it will have consequences.
For a duration of about an hour, this chapter is short but very cute.

In the second one, you can choose your point of view between the roommates:
- Issa, a kind and eccentric man
- Amy, a shy young geek who loves video games
- and Valerie, the lovely new roommate who will disrupt their routine
For a duration of about 2-3 hours, this chapter is rather complete.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the visual novel's art style and acknowledge it as a decent concept, but universally criticize it as extremely short and lacking substantial content—with most completing it in under 30 minutes. The game's value proposition is questioned due to the repetitive structure of replaying nearly identical scenes from different perspectives and predictable storytelling, making it feel more like a brief demo than a finished product worthy of its asking price.

Decent game. Getting all the routes can be tricky. Still, worth a shot.

A tidy simple little adult Visual Novel that is unfortunately just way too brief and superficial to offer any value for money. I got all of the Chapter One endings and a couple of the Chapter Two endings within twenty minutes. There's just next to no content here. It feels more like a *very* short tech demo than an actual game. There's simply not enough time and effort spent on building up a narrative, so even with the game's admirable focus on very narrow stories, you're still short-changed. This is exacerbated by retelling the second chapter story from three different perspectives - which basically means playing two identical scenes over again and again, cutting the actual content by two-thirds of the play time. Even for pocket-change this would be poor value for money, and even on sale this game is over-priced.
