Aiming for This War of Mine, but far from it.
The game takes a minimalist approach with no dialogue and a bleak atmosphere, but it feels far from ready even for Early Access. The controls are clunky, sound effects often don’t match actions, and the 3D animations are rough. There’s no gamepad support, and the puzzles suffer from unclear guidance. The current content lasts about 15–30 minutes, depending on how stuck you get. The concept itself isn’t bad, but it needs a lot of polish just to reach a basic level of quality. I simply couldn't play as Rose because the crouch action wasn't mapped to the Steam Deck controls. It's a shame, because this doesn't seem like it would be particularly difficult to implement.
This game is a hit for fans of this genre. If future updates deepen the story, it will be even better. The action level increases as you progress. This action ends in a completely unexpected way. I discovered this game thanks to a friend who recommended it to me. My friend, who rarely gives good game recommendations, really hit the nail on the head this time. Thanks, buddy!
I played the first chapter of the game – it has a great atmosphere and a unique narrative style. I'm looking forward to the full release!
