This is an absurdly difficult game. I know some love that. I already have a job, so working at a factory for 20 shifts, to have enough money to buy equipment that does me no good is not on my list of fun.

I never really say things like this, but I found it so bizarre that for a fictional sandbox game, all 15 character portraits are white men. It just feels so deliberate at that point that It didn't feel right playing this game anymore. Like definitely far from accidental. When making 15 characters surely the thought has crossed their mind to add a bit of diversity in there, so surely they made an intentional choice not to do so. Ick.

Negatives reviews don't mean the game itself is bad, just lack of appreciation for Old School type games. Just needs more fine tuning and QoL and 1.0 release won't be far. Been waiting for EA on this Title myself since the Demo.

I've been wanting this game since the Demo first came out. It is by a single Dev and he does listen. So playing the 1.0 there is a difference. I will give him a 2 thumbs up for releasing the game. With the knowledge that he does listen to what need to be improved. I am super happy that he made sandbox mode!

I like the game but it needs a lot fine tuning and QoL improvements. It also needs a casual save system. You can make the "save only on exit" or "save in towns" for an Ironman mode. I don't understand why developers want to solve a problem that doesn't exist or reinvent beloved most basic of features. I do not recommend the game mainly because of the bugs, lack of meaningful events, characters, and things you can do. Even the weapons lack identity and the only thing you're gonna care about is comparing action points costs vs the damage. That's about it. There are no effects you can inflict (like stun, bleeding, ...). I just lost 2 hours of gameplay because of a bug. I had 175/175 hp, no danger, just casually hunting. decided to move to another area; the game said that I'm overload, I click 'OK', and then the game just decided I need to see the main menu lol. Just like that almost 2 hours of life wasted. I play very carefully in these type of games and I am not going to repeat all the looting and the battles and rests I did all over again! Really nice hardcore survival game. Current state of the game already allows for a quite long playtime, many things to do if you don't mind some grind. If you liked NeoScavenger you will like this one.
