Run Coffee Run

Solid little game with good progression in mechanics that can be beaten in a single sitting. By the time you get all the power-ups for your character (double jump, dash, pickaxe) the game is over. I wish there were more levels or a level editor because this has the bones to be a much bigger game with more content. I imagine this is someone's portfolio project to show different systems. It's great.

This game is honestly very good, but the biggest problem in my opinion is how easy it is to accidently skip key levels in the game. Making it incredibly easy to get lost and waste a bunch of time (what happened to me). Overall though, the movement in this game is very fun and I would recommend. 7/10

Run Coffee Run is a really fun little first person platformer that does not waste much time getting to its main idea. I am stuck on a strange coffee island and I have to find the emergency exit before I fall asleep. Coffee keeps me awake for longer, while beds give me a way to start again if I fail. I like how simple the idea is because the whole game is built around this one problem and it gives me a reason to keep moving instead of slowly wandering around the map. The movement is easily the best part for me. I can jump, double jump and dash through the island, and getting around quickly becomes a big part of figuring out the best route. The island is small, but it is designed around exploring it and finding upgrades that open up more possibilities. I enjoyed getting more comfortable with the movement because some sections become much easier once I understand how to combine the jumps and dash properly. The coffee mechanic is also a clever way of adding pressure without making the game feel overly complicated. Quick, simple and fun. At first the movement mechanics were a bit stiff and annoying to get a hang of, but once the game introduced a double jump and dash, it became infinitely easier to navigate the environment.

i only played it for 7 minutes and imma be fr it may be a skill issue of mine but the 10 second timer was annoying ashell, other than that, great game
