For the most part it's an average HOG. But it has horrible click detection, which is unforgivable for a HOG game.

I had played Sacra Terra: Angelic Night right before I played Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death, so a lot of this review is going to be a comparison to that game, for better or for worse. Sadly, this feels like one step forward and one step back. The story of the game I will say is a lot of coherent and evident when playing. While in Angelic Night I kind of understood the basic premise but was confused about who we were, why we were doing what we were doing (other than generically just wanting to find a way to escape), and who the Angel was. In this game, the main character and her motivation is a lot clearly, which is great. This game being newer also has more detail graphics and cutscenes, although I didn't particularly feel like the original game was lacking in that way. The music sadly did not grow on me as much as in the first game, and I would even go so far as to say that at times it felt really out of place in Kiss of Death. It's a lot... I don't know, lighter, more energetic than I felt the scenario really merited so it was strange to be playing the game with this demonic imagery and plot and have this music that did not seem to follow that theme at all. I know that probably a…

WARNING: GAME-BREAKING BUGS!!!! There are at least a few game-breaking bugs that would force you to completely start over. 1. (main game) don't miss the brush at the cliff. 2. (bonus levels) don't miss the bronze skull on the bridge. Also, despite of starting the game over from scratch, 5 of the 8 Achievements didn't pop for me when I did complete the game without skipping mini-games or cutscenes.

Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death Collector’s Edition is a story-driven hidden-object puzzle adventure that aims to elevate its genre through emotional stakes, fantasy storytelling, and a broad mix of puzzles and exploration. Developed by Five BN and published by Alawar Casual, the game places narrative at the forefront, framing its gameplay around themes of love, loss, and sacrifice rather than treating the story as a simple excuse for object hunting. This approach gives the experience a more dramatic tone than many casual adventure titles, even if the execution occasionally shows its age. The narrative follows a determined protagonist whose fiancé has been taken by a mysterious supernatural force that feeds on human suffering. This inciting event launches a journey across strange and mystical realms, each tied to the tragic histories of other couples whose fates have been shaped by similar dark powers. Rather than focusing solely on the player’s personal loss, the story broadens into a tapestry of intertwined romances and unfinished destinies, giving emotional context to the environments and puzzles encountered along the way. While the writing can be melodramatic at times, it is sincer…

I enjoyed this game better than most of these older "point-and-click, puzzle games". Its not perfect, but this one seemed better than most.
