If you can push past the insane hodge-podge of kit-boshed AI art (apparently using ai to convert some imagery into pixel art, it shows...) this has legendary kusoge potential if that's your thing. At first, controls take some immense getting used to, swinging your guy back and forth to build enough momentum to hit the foes and deal the max damage is utterly backwards feeling... until that magic moment where it all starts coming together. I've always had a deep appreciation for games with controls that think outside the norm, and despite only having one button this manages to do something fresh with the scrolling beat em up approach. As you progress further into the game, you also unlock new special moves that require charging them up in tiers, each seems useful in it's own way, though the final one feels absolutely busted compared to what comes before it. If you're into arcade scoring style games, I can't say for sure if this has interesting mechanics or not, and it seems continuing doesn't reset score which, kind of renders leaderboards useless. I do think it could be a fairly interesting 1CC game when all the nuances are understood. Either way, if you've got a soft spot for the…6 found this helpful
One hit away from beating the final boss and I got killed. Luckily a blessed rice ball was falling from the heavens right above my corpse giving me the second wind I need to win. 10/10 masterpiece. Pure raw skill based gameplay.1 found this helpful
