If you're here from Fist Cut: Samurai Duel, turn back. This one isn't worth the money or time, even on sale. Tutorial is basically a wiki with pages and tries to overcomplicate the game with a "mechanics" dump, but you won't use any of it since the fights are over in two seconds due to how easy the AI is to defeat even on harder difficulties. Art animation is interesting and probably only peak of the game, but you get little to no time to appreciate it in the fight. Menu UI is horrendous with zero polish and isn't even formatting correctly with words running off-screen on a 2560x1600 display. I was hoping for a Cuphead esque sword fighting game with the same quality and replayability of First Cut. This game is a huge step backwards. I hope the animators of the fighters can get appreciated at some point through other means.1 found this helpful
good game
2 touches is all it takes to finish. Story of my life
its honestly not that good. I found the controls delayed and buggy.
This game has been addictive so far, its stupid fast and fun, the trailers don't do the absolutely gorgeous artstyle and animations justice at all.
Love it. If you're a fighting game person and you want your friends to actually be able to play with you and not complain about combo's etc, this is a great game with a few peeps and a beverage or two if that's your thing. Great fun. Simple controls but still a lot of depth. Character roster is great, they did a good job of making them all feel unique without making any of them a huge gimic that detracts from the intent of the game to be centered around fundamentals, spacing etc. Just understand what you're buying. It's a 1-2 hit death fighting game. The benefit of this is it's more approachable than getting someone into streetfighter. Very pretty also.
