Despite the negative reviews, I tried this game and am glad that I did. I have encountered no performance issues even running on an older pc, thankfully. It's a lot of fun and actually really quite reminiscent of the world of second hand sales, in which I grew up. It's not perfect by a long shot, and there are some annoyances in the gameplay, sure, but in a way, some of the bugs/weird mechanics make it even more like running your own shop: something disappeared in the van floor or was catapulted into the bin by accident - breakages, the appraiser set the price way beyond what anyone will ever pay - typical in antique stores. I got this game very inexpensively in a bundle, but even the $10 (CAD) at it's highest price would have been worth it. Hopefully, the devs do continue to iron out some of the kinks and make some improvements - this would be a great game, if they did so.2 found this helpful
Almost un-playable with the glitchiness of movements. Picking things up (which is a lot of the game) is so awkward and next to impossible to move that item around. Placing the large shelf was incredibly frustrating and difficult. 3rd bid I was a part of took almost 5 minutes back and forth and went 3000 dollars over the estimated value and it was still going I eventually just shut the game down. Not enjoyable at all, but the opportunity was there.
I really wanted to like this because the concept—buying abandoned storage containers and flipping them—sounded fun. Unfortunately, I lasted a whopping 20 minutes—congrats to me, shortest Twitch stream ever. The biggest issue? Camera/FOV. Even after adjusting settings, it felt like I was swallowing the screen. Motion sick? Instantly. My mouse was no match for the clunky sensitivity. And let’s not forget the grandpa debt plot—cleaning a crumbling shop, tossing trash bags like I’m in training. After plastering walls, surprise! Props appeared with big “NOT FOR SALE” signs. Magical clutter? Thanks. And that cash-holding heroine on the cover? Never saw her in-game. Talk about false advertising. Auctions? Sounded fun—until I paid $1300 for junk. NPCs? Robotic whiners with “I don’t have all day.” Well, I didn’t have all day for this mess. Great concept buried under a frustrating experience. I’m out, refund on the way.
Enter the world of shopkeepers.....a good game with some bugs but still a good game
Until they fix the crashes that dont just crash the game but sends my pc haywire i will not be recommending thsi game... it has potential dont get me wrong... I just cannot play more than 5 minutes before i have to restart my pc to get over its issues.
This game could be fun but its SOOOOO clunky, it runs terribly, everything you do causes a slight pause, you walk in the shop from your car with a box it takes 3 seconds and all of a sudden it appears correctly in your hands, putting things in your car from the storage container good LUCK if its a big box. Its really unfortunate because the game itself is fun and if someone could replicate this game and make it run smooth you woul have a GREAT sim on your hands. Its super clunky, almost feels like a weird mobile game. I HOPE this game gets a few updates and gets ironed out. May try again in 6 months. Dev please smooth this game out and make it run smooth, this IS the type of sim we want. Maybe add some more methods to repair, like disassembly, replacement of certain parts could be fun, just a green bar mini game is boring and seems lazy. Please dont give this one up.
