About SANRI

SANRI is a first-person psychological horror game where you play a schizophrenic character whose wife disappeared during camp. Face the delusions, solve the mystery and try to find her despite your constantly distorted perception of time-space.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The game does not guide you with too many hints, it focuses on exploring. Take into account that the game can be a difficult game in this respect.

STORYLINE
What would you do if you woke up after a nice night camping with your partner and couldn't see her next to you? Grab your flashlight and dive deep into the forest to find it. Your schizophrenic delusions will never leave you. Despite all this, will you be able to find him?

GAMEPLAY You will have some enemies that feed on your fears. Run away or face it. The way to deal with delusions is with antipsychotic drugs. Keep them by your side. Adapt up with the ever-changing time and place. Explore spooky environments. Relive memories and find mysterious clues with the photos you take. Examine objects and interact with them.

The game is not a user-friendly experience. I have played obtuse or difficult games, but this one has you struggling with unintuitive game design that does not lend to a playable experience. It is completeable, but the time spent lolling about looking for the next place I am supposed to be or the unexplained button/mechanic that I am supposed to complete was horrid. The game is essentially a collection of jumpscares and nothing else in terms of it's horror, with the entire reliance on them diminishing the story itself. No spoilers, but the story is far weakened by the lack of actual horror psychologically, and the lacklustre ending is probably designed to invite thinking of the events that transpire, but instead make me want to give up thinking that, so far, the game has not shown me anything actually gripping to care if there was some deeper explanation to the ending, and it most likely just being as superficial as I expect it to be. The game also fails to explain game-mechanics or controls, and instead relies on you doing the worst part of old point-and-click type games; randomly clicking on things and blindly shuffling through the map with no direction until something happens …

Running around in the game is pointless; this game is meaningless, don't buy it.

This is how you make a psychological horror game. You need to brainstorm and find the clues yourself during all of the atmospheric tension and dread around you. The forest area with the camera recorder was insane.

I only played a small portion of the game apparently, because I can't seem to be able to get out of the forest portion of the game after I woke up from the "terrifying" attack of the frog-man (that's my nickname for him) This game, while I know is a genuine attempt at horror, does pretty much everything wrong so far.. story kinda just "is", events are predictable and not scary, acting is really bad and inconsistent with what is and isn't voiced.. you can quite easily soft lock yourself by using up your polaroid too quickly.. the game has NO SETTINGS whatsoever.. it's insanely loud by default.. I'm almost tempted to keep playing just to see how bad things will get. I simply can't recommend it to anyone, unless you somehow ran out of horror games to play and want to know how NOT to make games.. Awful Edit: Gave it another fair shot. Had to play side by side with a YouTube video because the game either bugged or kept crashing unless I did EXACTLY what I was meant to do. But after crash number three I just gave up... Still awful

This should be called: "What the ♥♥♥♥? - The Video Game." Save your money and time unless you want to waste your patience walking around in a forest like an idiot just waiting for random things to happen in order to advance to another boring place.

To whoever designed the sounds in this game, curse you, curse your voices, curse upon you, curse upon your grandfather, curse upon your grandmother, curse upon your father, curse upon your mother, curse upon your brothers, curse upon your sisters, curse upon you, oh dog, curse upon you, oh warner, oh bastard, oh degenerate, oh **, oh animal, oh Kinda, may God curse you, may God take you, may God stone you, may God curse you, and may God willing, you will not die. God willing, you will continue to be tormented. God willing, you will get sick and get rid of you.
