About Supernormal
For the last two years, I've had the honour of developing the spiritual successor to Allison Road, with the blessing of its original creator. It's designed and optimized for both old and next-gen hardware. This has been a solo journey for me, and I like to think of it as Allison Road, Reimagined. I've put my heart and soul into this project, and I truly hope you enjoy it.
SOLVE THE CASE
Your detective skills shape the story, leading to one of two different endings. It all depends on the number of clues you discover and how observant you are.
VOICE RECOGNITION
Communicate with the paranormal entities using your microphone. Will they offer crucial clues or mislead you into dead ends?
MICROPHONE DETECTION
Engage with the paranormal, but remember this crucial rule: if they unveil their presence and hear you, STAY QUIET and DON'T MOVE, or risk altering the game's ominous outcome.
PHOTOSCANNED GRAPHICS
Using Unreal Engine 5, the game is set in a hyper-realistic environment. It also uses photo scanned graphics to enhance every tiny detail, including the horror!
RANDOMIZED PARANORMAL EVENTS
Introduces unpredictable, spine-chilling encounters that are randomly generated throughout the gameplay. No two scares are alike, intensifying the terror and replayability.
SUPERNORMAL OFFERS ABOUT 2 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY AND COMBINES DETECTIVE WORK WITH PUZZLE-SOLVING IN A HORROR SETTING. EXPECT TO SEARCH FOR CLUES AND SOLVE PUZZLES TO PROGRESS THROUGH THE GAME.

Supernormal has an amazing concept but sadly a shaky execution. The concept of working together with the ghost of a murder victim to solve its own murder is amazing. Taking it one step further and using in game voice controls to create a gameplay loop where you communicate with a spirit is unique and honestly the groundwork for a masterpiece. Sadly, the game falls flat and simply feels underbaked. The horror mostly relies on scripted jumpscares that lock you into cutscenes, a design decision I don't think any horror game has ever benefited from. The gameplay loop is also not only buggy but becomes extremely monotonous after a short while. Those issues sadly hold the game back and stop it from reaching its full potential. It's not necessarily unplayable or awful. It's just unsatisfying and frustrating. Even with all of that, though, I can still appreciate how ambitious the concept is and the developers' willingness to bring it to life. OMG Horror is one of my FAV genres of games and this takes the cake. It was so suspenseful. I wish it was longer. But to be honest, for ONE SINGLE person to make this whole game on their own was really amazing. I have already been looking into Supernatrual. I can't wait to get it and dive in.1 found this helpful
Game has some interesting ideas and a great atmosphere, but that's about it. Gameplay consists of finding "clues" which don't make any sense and don't really do anything except keep you busy until the phone rings and the second half of the game begins, followed by a repetitive loop of checking the security cameras to look for something spooky, going to the room the spooky stuff happened in, getting "jumpscared", and repeating roughly a dozen more times, then waiting around for the phone to ring again to get one of two endings depending on how well you performed this repetitive loop. Pass.

Hooooooooooly. It's so slow man. My ADHD cannot handle. The voice acting was so monotonous and it felt like bro was just saying the same stuff over and over again. Very cool concept with the voice recognition. But i just couldn't get into it. Apologies i did not play further. 2/10
