I unironically really liked this, its a lot more goofy than scary, but I think thats its charm. The models look nice, the game is well optimized and no issues playing with a controller. Scaring other students or starting to randomly beat them up is really funny. The translation is not the best, and maps are generally quite empty, there just needs to be more in them. As there is a fully implemented combat system, it wouldnt hurt adding content that correlates with that. Game is extremely buggy and unpolished. Bugs range from characters clipping into the ground (town lvl), levels just not working (Cemetery LVL), guns are just unusable (Legit pressed every button both on keyboard and controller) or just suddenly unable to interact with anything (granny LVL). And that's not all, the mouse doesn't say in the game, so if you are using dual monitors or have this game in windowed mode: you ain't having fun. I think that this is the first time I have seen a game with keybinding that doesn't function at all. Remember that this is a full fledged game, if this is in early access, then I wouldn't be as disappointed to the point to write a review. The story is just OK, nothing to write home about but will do but I do may ask as to what the hell does Granny has to do anything with the plot?? Characters are forgettable enough to not remember their names but you will notice when each of them disappear from the plot for what seems to be no reason. If anything, I would 110% recommend the developers to give us more time to know who these characters are and flesh them out a bit, not asking for an entire chapter for each but enough characterization for them to rememb…4 found this helpful

I'm going to give the most fair review I can. This game wasn't bad, although it wasn't exactly good either. First, let's go over the gameplay. The controls aren't half bad, but they were a bit janky at times. The pathfinding of the AI that had to follow you around was quite frankly atrocious, and most of the time they wouldn't even follow you. The maps weren't all that great; they were either too small or they had too much empty space. The music was reused, and so were the ghosts. No matter how much I tried, I could not figure out how to unlock any of the four achievements in this game. Supposedly there is an ending for every character, that being Akane, Elieen, Sakura, and Bianca, but I got none of those. The overall story is quite confusing, as it strays away from the title, "Scary School Simulator," and you end up in graveyards and a granny's house. The character Sakura is made to be a villain, but she doesn't really do any villainous acts except for the chapter Sakura, where she beats up and steals a girl's swimsuit (while everyone was watching and did nothing to stop it). Characters end up disappearing without much explanation, like Senpai, and we never really find out what ex…2 found this helpful
Currently the game feels completely rushed and unsuitable for release. Its been about 2 months since playing the game and nothing has been fixed/changed/added meaning the game will probably never be made playable especially with its current price. Listed below some of the issues that I have faced while playing the game (might have missed some since its been a while) - cursor constantly appearing over your game making it annoying to play - most of the settings don't work - saving system is terrible - AI behaviour is terrible - equipping the gun is impossible after several restarts and attempts - most doors blocking you when trying to go through them - overall a ton of bugs sometimes making the game unplayable Overall, cannot recommend the game until they fix the huge amounts of issues with their game which will probably never happen.2 found this helpful
I like this game a lot, I think the locations are really creepy, and the characters are interesting, and it's not too hard to figure out what to do... and the jumpscares actually scared me the first time I played this, but I kept playing anyways cause it was so fun, it has a good amount of different chapters so plenty of different things to explore
